Last week, three things caught our attention: the Dallas Cowboys, the Cincinnati Bengals, and Tom Brady. The Cowboys made a meal of the Indianapolis Colts, while the Bengals proved once again that they are Kansas City’s kryptonite.
As for Brady, his fourth-quarter-led comeback during Monday Night Football is a big talking point as we head into Week 14. We don’t think the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are Super Bowl material, but they have five regular-season games to prove us wrong.
Speaking of what’s ahead, we have several fascinating NFL matchups in Week 14. Keep scrolling for the complete rundown.
CableTV.com’s NFL Game of the Week
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers | FOX, NFL SUNDAY TICKET
Coverage begins Sunday, December 11 at 4:25 p.m. eastern: Like many people, we’re questioning the current form of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco 49ers. That’s why Sunday’s matchup intrigues us the most.
The Bucs are so topsy-turvy this season that we can never tell what sort of team we’ll see on game day. At the same time, the 49ers are a stable team leading the NFC West—but they just lost their starting quarterback.
Jimmy Garoppolo is likely out for the rest of the regular season, so rookie Brock Purdy will take over that role. Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant at the 2022 NFL Draft—meaning he was the draft’s final pick. But if he can get some early momentum against Tampa Bay, we think he can lead San Francisco to victory. That is, unless Tom Brady has some more magic up his sleeve.
