NFL Schedule This Week | 2022 Week 8

CableTV.com’s weekly NFL schedule, featuring channel listings for each game and our NFL Game of the Week recommendation.

It’s common knowledge that this season’s Thursday Night Football has a bad reputation for being lackluster. It’s not that everyone’s hating on Amazon Prime Video, but the quality on the field most Thursday nights has been questionable. Week 7 seemed to slightly deviate from that dull script—delivering a higher-scoring game, still with its fair share of wild turnovers.

Now that the NFL’s Thursday night curse is seemingly over, perhaps we can enter Week 8 with less bad luck. Oh wait, it’s Halloween week. Who are we kidding?

Keep scrolling for a complete list of this week’s NFL matchups—if you dare.

CableTV.com’s NFL Game of the Week

New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks | FOX, NFL SUNDAY TICKET

Coverage begins Sunday, October 30 at 4:25 p.m. eastern: The New York Giants and the Seattle Seahawks are constantly surprising us this season. Now that the two teams face off in Week 8, this matchup is a great opportunity to see which team is the real deal.

Many questions surrounded the Seahawks as they began the season without a clear Russell Wilson replacement. But Seattle (4–3) has a better record than Wilson and the Denver Broncos (2–5), so you can judge who’s better off from that situation—at least in the short term.

The big test for the Seahawks now comes from the Giants, who hold a sturdy 6–1 record. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has led his team to several comeback victories, so Seattle will need to be sharp with game management. Luckily for the Seahawks, their Wilson replacement quickly emerged in the form of Geno Smith—a reliable passer playing with genuine confidence.
