“The Bachelor” Returns In January With Month-Long Cast Events
The Bachelor is returning to ABC in January with Juan Pablo Galavis, and in honor of the season 18 premiere, ABC will be hosting a month-long celebration, which will include several exciting specials.
At the end of last month, ABC announced that every week in the first month of 2014 will feature a new special. The month will be referred to as “Juan-uary” in honor of the new Bachelor and fans are in for a real treat every Monday night, starting with the 2-night Bachelor premiere, which begins on Sunday, January 5, with Countdown to Juan Pablo, and ends on January 6 with the first episode of season 18.
“Viewers will get a more in-depth look at Juan’s life with his 4-year-old daughter, Camila, the casting process for the show and much, much more before the Jan. 6 premiere,” Life & Style reports of Countdown to Juan Pablo.
The following week, The Bachelor: Behind the Scenes will air, showing fans an inside look at viewing parties of other fans around the country.
On January 19, fans will take a walk down memory lane with The Bachelor: Bachelor Love Stories, fans will watch as the first Bachelorette, Trista Sutter, and her husband, Ryan Sutter, celebrate their ten year wedding anniversary with a romantic vow renewal. Also a part of the special are Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, Jason and Molly Malaney, and J.P. Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert, who will “reminisce on their relationships.”
Then, on January 26, the “Juan-uary” events come to an end with the grand finale of Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s wedding.
“It will be the most beautiful wedding you’ve ever seen,” Sean told the mag earlier this year. “We want the ceremony to be really traditional and special. We want the reception to be a big party. We got her family and my family coming together to have a blast.”
“I just want it to be fun and show our love,” Catherine added. “Other than that, I know that it’s going to be a beautiful wedding.”
It surely will be. However, there will be one thing missing from the affair — host Chris Harrison.
While Chris has officiated other wedding ceremonies of Bachelor stars in the past, it will be Sean’s dad who does the honors next month.
“I can’t think of a more Godly man to conduct the ceremony,” he recently revealed to Life & Style. “My dad has had such a powerful and positive influence on my life, I thought it was only fitting to have him officiate our wedding.”
