The Roku Channel Adds Rich Eisen, 14 New Channels

Roku has beefed up its app content with a slew of new channels and sports-talk giant Rich Eisen.

Don’t sleep on the purple app—big things are afoot at The Roku Channel. Besides adding 14 new channels (channels within The Roku Channel, it’s a bit Inception-y), the ad-supported streaming service has also landed sports-talk giant Rich Eisen.

Kicking off in September, the popular Rich Eisen Show will live stream weekdays from noon to 3 p.m. ET on The Roku Channel. As of Monday, August 22, the show will interim stream on Eisen’s YouTube channel (after leaving Peacock) before it premieres on Roku. Don’t worry, Rich-heads: Eisen will still be anchoring on the NFL Network, and The Rich Eisen Show will continue to air on Westwood One radio stations.

The Roku Channel has also added 14 new channels to its live TV hub, including three more local NBC News outlets (bringing the count up to 11), two channels dedicated to classic Western action, and even a 24/7 stream of Cheaters, which may be more drama than anyone can handle.
