Is Frontier internet good?
Frontier Fiber, Frontier’s fiber-optic internet service, offers superfast download speeds at affordable rates, and you should grab it if you can. It’s available in 18 states, but most prominently in California, Texas, Indiana, Florida, West Virginia, and New York.
Keep in mind that Frontier Fiber is different from Frontier’s DSL internet service, which is available in 23 states. If Frontier’s DSL service is your only option, you’ll need to call in to see what speeds it offers in your area.

Frontier has two internet networks spread across the US: Frontier Fiber and Frontier Internet. The Frontier Fiber plans are worth considering, especially the value-packed Frontier Fiber 500 package.
Frontier’s Fiber 500 may be one of the best internet plans in the US, and we recommend grabbing it if it’s in your area. We usually suggest at least 100 Mbps download speeds for families, which runs about $50 per month depending on your provider. Frontier Fiber 500 is five times faster than our recommendation for $5 cheaper—a sweet deal for sure.
But if you have to have gigabit speeds, Frontier Fiber Gig is a great way to take advantage of Frontier’s fiber-optic network. It’s not the cheapest gig plan on the market, but it’s still worth it for the 1,000 Mbps you’re getting.

That said, who has a landline these days? TBH, not many of us, but it can be a cheap alternative to cell phone service if staying connected still means hearing a voice rather than staring at a screen.
Is Frontier worth it?
If you live in an area with Frontier Fiber, it’s an excellent option for internet—and according to our customer survey, it has reliable customer support too. We especially recommend Frontier Fiber’s 500 plan.
Just be aware that mileage may vary with Frontier Internet (the DSL service), as Frontier doesn’t publish the speeds for their DSL plan.
