Wondering if Spectrum has senior discounts? Spectrum Internet Assist is Spectrum’s only in-house senior discount program for internet service. On the plan, you’ll get a download speed of 50 Mbps for $24.99 per month, depending on your location. To qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist, someone in your home must be in the Supplemental Security Income or National School Lunch programs.
Spectrum Internet Assist could be a poor fit if your household has more than a few internet users, as you’ll quickly hit the plan’s ceiling and have slower internet performance. But if you qualify for the plan and need affordable internet service, it’s hard to beat Spectrum Internet Assist’s low price.
Previously, if you qualified for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), you’d have more senior discount internet options through Spectrum. The ACP offered a $30 monthly discount for households enrolled in certain government assistance programs and made Spectrum’s base internet plans much cheaper. Although Spectrum doesn’t have senior discounts for cable TV, its main plan and add-on packs offer enough channels for seniors, families, and grandkids alike.
