The Colorado Buffaloes had an off-the-field scare when coach Deion Sanders revealed doctors removed his bladder after being diagnosed with cancer. But Coach Prime says he’s ready to coach and will lead the Buffaloes for a third season in 2025.
CU finished fourth in the Big 12 last season, but was in a four-way tie with Arizona, BYU, and Iowa State. All four teams went 7–2 in the conference. It was Colorado’s 9–4 overall record that didn’t do the team any favors standings-wise.
The 2025 season will be an intriguing one due to Coach Prime’s health, the volatile nature of the Big 12, and the relatively low expectations for Colorado. To find out what it’ll take to watch every Buffaloes football game this season, read on.

2025 Colorado Buffaloes TV schedule
The entire Big 12 Conference has a media deal with ABC and ESPN properties, so Buffaloes fans will see their team on those networks for the most part in 2025.
On the gridiron, CU has an interesting four-game stretch in September and October that includes BYU, Iowa State, and Utah. BYU and Iowa State had identical conference records to Colorado last year, so those games could have major postseason implications for Coach Prime and co. And Utah is on a mission to rehab itself from an abysmal 2024 and avenge that awful loss to the Buffaloes.
The full CU Buffaloes schedule is below. I will update it as more information is released.

Best TV plans for watching CU Buffaloes football
Data effective as of post date. Offers and availability may vary by location and are subject to change.
For die-hard CU football fans, ensuring you never miss a game is a top priority. Hulu + Live TV is my favorite choice for watching the most college football action because of its comprehensive channel lineup. It also includes worthy perks like ESPN+ at no extra charge and unlimited DVR storage.
While Hulu + Live TV offers extensive college sports, it doesn’t feature every football matchup, particularly those involving lower-level teams. Some games may require access to a regional sports network or a separate streaming subscription.
How to watch Colorado Buffaloes football FAQ
Where can I watch the Colorado Buffaloes for free?
You can stream CU football games with a DIRECTV free trial, but be aware of local blackouts and games exclusive to other platforms. You can also watch any games airing on your local ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC station for free with a simple digital antenna.
Can I stream CU Buffaloes football games without cable?
My favorite way to watch the Colorado Buffaloes football team without cable is through Hulu + Live TV. The streaming service has every core college football channel, including ESPN+. But you may still need a separate subscription for games exclusive to Peacock (for Big Ten games) or FloFootball (for smaller conferences).
Can I watch CU Buffaloes football on HBO Max?
As of publication, there are no Colorado football games scheduled to stream on HBO Max. But the Big 12 Conference did make a deal to broadcast some college football games on TNT and HBO Max starting in 2025, so it’s possible a Buffaloes game will get on the schedule at a later date.
How do I watch Colorado Buffaloes football if I live out of state?
For out-of-state fans, most CU Buffaloes football games air nationally, so a good live TV streaming service will have you covered. Of course, some college football matchups have unique broadcast rights. That’s why it’s always best to check my TV schedule above for specific channel information.
