Unlike many business internet providers, Comcast’s business internet plans are similar to its consumer-level selection on Xfinity. With Comcast Business, you’ll choose from four plans with speeds up to 2 Gbps.

We like that Comcast streamlined parts of the shopping process for business internet customers—every plan comes with identical Mbps upload speeds, so you’ll get the same upload speed across the board. This’ll come in handy if your team is regularly running tasks like cloud backups or Zoom calls. Comcast also includes its Security Edge service for free.

That said, Comcast Business Internet does require some fine-print wrangling. You’ll have to agree to a contract (complete with early termination fees) on its plans. If you want the pricing in the table above, you’ll have a 12-month price lock with a 1-year service agreement. If you want to increase your monthly bill by $40, you can lock in your price for 60 months (that’s 5 years) with a 1-year service agreement.

Comcast’s 5-year price-lock guarantee is certainly lengthy (and your business has bigger concerns if you need month-to-month internet). Still, we’re never fans of introductory rate deals and scheduled price hikes. If you’re with Comcast Business Internet, be prepared to pony up for a longer guarantee or schedule an afternoon at the end of every price lock period to haggle with a phone agent.
