So Bad It’s Good: Recent Movie Disasters I Couldn’t Stop Watching
When bad movies hit just right
You know that moment when you’re halfway through a movie and realize … this is terrible, but in the best way possible? The dialogue is weird. The editing makes no sense. The plot is sprinting in circles. But you can’t look away.
These recent “so bad it’s good” movies completely missed the mark and somehow nailed the vibe. So grab your popcorn, your group chat, and your best roast-ready mood. It’s time to celebrate the chaos.

1. Madame Web (2024)
This movie was supposed to be Sony’s next big superhero movie. Instead? We got stilted dialogue, bizarre dream sequences, and ADR so awkward it became a meme.
Dakota Johnson delivers every line like she’s reading from a cue card off-screen (and honestly, maybe she is). Still, it’s an oddly captivating mess, perfect for a night of “Wait, what?” reactions.

2. Borderlands (2024)
Borderlands had everything going for it, except for a script that made sense. Between the whiplash tone shifts and CGI overload, this adaptation of the hit video game is more confusing than fun.
But there’s something oddly entertaining about watching it.

3. Big Shark (2023)
Tommy Wiseau, the mastermind behind The Room, is back. This time, he’s battling a giant CGI shark … and reality itself. The acting? Unhinged. The effects? Laughable. The story? Unknown.
But if you love Wiseau’s brand of accidental genius, Big Shark delivers more head-scratching gold. It’s absolutely a must-watch.

4. The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023)
What if you took one chapter from Dracula and turned it into a full horror movie … without the horror? This gothic thriller sails into boredom, but not without a few unintentionally funny monster moments and melodramatic performances.
It tries to be Alien at sea but ends up more like a slow cruise with bad lighting. And yet? Still kind of fun with friends and a running commentary.

5. Argylle (2024)
This spy thriller tried to be clever, twisty, and self-aware. Instead, it’s just … a lot. Think Kingsman meets Cats (no, seriously, there’s a dancing CGI cat).
The plot goes off the rails, the tone is all over the place, and somehow Dua Lipa ends up in the middle of it. You won’t be bored, but you will be confused.

6. Ghosted (2023)
Chris Evans and Ana de Armas are both hot and charming, but even they couldn’t save this cringy rom-com action mashup. The chemistry? MIA. The pacing? Off. The cameos? Overstuffed.
Still, there’s joy to be found in just how hard this movie tries to be slick and fails. It’s the cinematic version of a bad first date: awkward, but you’ll talk about it with your friends later.

7. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
When the rights to Winnie the Pooh entered the public domain, someone said: “Let’s make it a slasher.” And they did. Very badly.
The acting is stiff, the effects are bargain bin, and the plot is nonsense. But the absurdity? Top tier. There’s something wildly funny about Pooh wielding a mallet in a horror mask.
