Your wretched little lives have all been cursed. . . .

It’s officially spooky season—your TV viewing habits should reflect that. Check out our guide to all the TV premieres awaiting you in October.

Where can I watch Hocus Pocus 2?

Beginning on September 30, you’ll be able to watch Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney+. It’s a streaming exclusive, so it won’t be in theaters or on cable TV.

The first movie came out in 1993, and it’s been a while since we last lit the Black Flame Candle. You can catch up by watching the original Hocus Pocus on Disney+. Freeform will also air Hocus Pocus 13 times during October as part of the network’s “31 Nights of Halloween.”

The original Sanderson sisters are returning for Hocus Pocus 2. That means you’ll see more of Winifred (Bette Midler), Mary (Kathy Najimy), and Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) Sanderson running amok in Salem, Massachusetts. Doug Jones also returns as the zombified Billy Butcherson.

But there’s a host of new characters in town. Hannah Waddingham appears as a witch from old Salem, and her Ted Lasso co-star Sam Richardson plays Gilbert, a Salem resident in the present day.

Gilbert accidentally inspires a new coven of teenage witches, played by Whitney Peak (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Gossip Girl), Belissa Escobedo (American Horror Stories, Blue Beetle), and Lilia Buckingham (Zoe Valentine, Crown Lake).

Also appearing in the movie are Tony Hale (Veep, The Mysterious Benedict Society) and Froy Gutierrez (Teen Wolf).

Hocus Pocus 2 promises to dive more into Salem’s witchy history, even providing a flashback to when the Sanderson sisters were teenagers themselves. We learn that witches receive their powers on their 16th birthday, which remains true in the present day.

When she’s gifted a Black Flame Candle on her 16th birthday, newbie witch Becca accidentally summons Salem’s infamous trio of witches back from the dead. The Sanderson sisters want revenge (again), and chaos ensues.

There’s still no word on whether this new installment will feature a musical number that slaps as much as “I Put a Spell on You.”
