Netflix has more Christmas movies than you could ever watch—or even finish scrolling through by New Year’s Day. To alleviate your holiday viewing pain, we’ve come up with this list of five lesser-known Christmas movie recommendations to get you through the season (sorry we didn’t have time to wrap it).

5. BoJack Horseman Christmas Special: Sabrina’s Secret Wish (2014)
“Joy to the world, Todd is here! He drank up all your beer!” Thus begins BoJack Horseman Christmas Special: Sabrina’s Secret Wish, the holiday special that finds Todd (voiced by Aaron Paul) and BoJack (Will Arnett) at opposite ends of the Yuletide Cheer meter. But when Todd plays the very special Christmas episode of Bojack’s ’90s sitcom Horsin’ Around—cheesy comedy saves the day! Let’s hug it out.
4. Falling for Christmas (2022)
In the style of a classic Hallmark/Lifetime holiday rom-com, a snobby heiress (Lindsay Lohan) suffers amnesia from a pre-Christmas skiing accident and—you guessed it—is taken care of by a handsome, flannel-shirted local (Chord Overstreet). Oh, and he’s also a widower dad with a ridiculously cute young daughter. Who had “LiLo making her comeback with a Christmas movie” on their 2022 bingo card?
3. Alien Xmas (2020)
The leader of an extraterrestrial race sends X (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) and helper robot SAMTU to Earth on Christmas Eve. Their mission: Shut off the planet’s gravity so all Christmas presents will float into orbit for the aliens to grab. What sets Alien Xmas apart from the kiddie Christmas pack is its luminous mix of stop-motion and CGI animation by the Chiodo Brothers (Elf). An obscure gem.
2. Love Hard (2021)
Los Angeles journalist Natalie (Nina Dobrev) falls for New York dreamboat Tag (Darren Barett) on a dating app and flies cross-country to surprise him on Christmas. But, she’s been catfished by a fake profile (apparently, Natalie’s not an investigative journalist). The catfisher, Josh (Jimmy O. Yang), agrees to set her up with Tag, but only if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend for the holidays. Does the bogus scheme become real love for Natalie and Josh? Duh.
1. Fireplace 4K (2015)
Still can’t choose which Christmas fare to watch on Netflix? Stop scrolling and start stoking Fireplace 4K: Classic Crackling Fireplace for Your Home, a full hour of nothing but faux warmth goodness without the work or cleanup—now in 4K. (There’s also a Birchwood Edition on Netflix if you’re particular about your digital wood.) Loop it and lounge.
