Hulu military discount FAQ
How does Hulu verify military status for the discount?
The Hulu military discount uses The Exchange rather than ID.me for eligibility. Subscribers must have a current Exchange membership and authenticate as an authorized Exchange shopper before continuing to Hulu. Hulu does not publish a separate process requiring customers to upload military documents directly to Hulu for this offer.
Can I add premium features like ad-free viewing with my military discount?
The Hulu military discount applies specifically to Hulu (With Ads). Hulu Premium is not included in the military offer. If you switch to Hulu Premium, a bundle subscription, or Hulu + Live TV, the military discount will no longer apply.
Are military spouses and dependents eligible for the Hulu military discount?
Eligible military dependents can qualify for the Hulu military discount if they are authorized Exchange shoppers and meet the offer requirements. Military.com currently lists dependents among the eligible groups. The discount requires a current Exchange membership, so eligibility ultimately depends on Exchange authorization rather than simply providing relationship documents directly to Hulu.
What happens to my Hulu military discount if my military status changes or I retire?
Military retirees and veterans are among the groups currently eligible for the Hulu military discount. However, the offer requires a current Exchange membership, so continued eligibility depends on maintaining authorization to use The Exchange and meeting Hulu's current offer requirements. Check your Exchange eligibility if your military status changes.
