Free cable internet modem
Every Spectrum Internet plan comes with a free modem, which connects your home to the provider’s cable internet network.
While we typically recommend buying your own modem, Spectrum’s free modem offer (you’ll return the modem once you leave Spectrum) is an easy way to save money if you don’t already have a modem.
The standard monthly rate for a modem rental is usually between $5–$15, while a new modem can retail between $60–$120.
Spectrum Mobile bundle discounts
Spectrum Mobile is a standalone Spectrum service for Spectrum Internet subscribers that provides cell service and mobile data plans. Spectrum Mobile and Internet bundles start at just $50.00/mo. for 24 months.
Spectrum Mobile’s best deals include deals on new phones, an extra $100 off when you trade in, and saving up to 60% with a Spectrum Mobile bundle. Spectrum Internet customers also get one line of Unlimited Mobile included for an entire year.
Spectrum Mobile can help you save money if you’re already a Spectrum Internet subscriber and want to leave your mobile phone carrier, paying off your phone balance up to $2,500.
Discounted Apple TV 4K
Spectrum TV subscribers can get the 32 GB Apple TV 4K for $9.99 per month on a 20-month payment plan. In the end, that’s only a few cents off from the normal price of an Apple TV 4K, but payment plans can be nice if you don’t want to spend a lot of cash at once.
With the Apple TV’s auto-login feature, you can easily watch content from Spectrum and other networks without having to manually type in your cable login. The Apple TV also has streaming apps from services like Max™, Netflix, and Hulu.
Spectrum Internet Assist program
Spectrum Internet Assist offers discounted internet access to eligible senior or low-income customers. With Spectrum Internet Assist, you’ll get maximum download speeds up to 100 Mbps (wireless speeds may vary) and a FREE modem rental.
To qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist, someone in your home needs to be enrolled in Supplemental Security Income, the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), or the NSLP’s Community Eligibility Provision.
Spectrum Contract Buyout Program
Spectrum will pay up to $500◊ to cover your early termination fee if you want to jump ship from your current TV or internet provider. To qualify for the Spectrum Contract Buyout Program, you’ll just need to sign up for an eligible Spectrum bundle with internet, TV, and/or phone service.
Beginning in May 2024, Spectrum is also providing a contract buyout for Mobile customers. When a customer switches to Spectrum Mobile from another provider and purchases at least three lines, Spectrum will pay off their existing phone balance (up to five lines, $2,500 max).
Spectrum student discount
Unfortunately, Spectrum doesn’t offer a student discount. That said, certain low-income homes may be able to qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist, which offers 50 Mbps speeds for as low as $25 a month.
