MEAC Network is the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s official streaming destination for live sports, replays, and original programming. From the Howard Bison to the Norfolk State Spartans, it gives fans another way to follow their favorite MEAC schools beyond nationally televised games.

Formerly known as the MEAC Digital Network, the expanded platform brings live events, archived games, and original campus programming to its website and supported apps. You can watch through its website or supported mobile and connected-TV apps.

But don’t expect every MEAC matchup to appear there. The conference’s ESPN agreement covers major football and basketball events, while some nonconference games follow separate TV deals. We’ll break down where to watch MEAC Network, what it carries, and how to find games airing elsewhere.

Where can I watch MEAC Network?

Head to the MEAC Network website to browse live and upcoming events, replays, and original programming. You can also download the MEAC Network app on a supported phone, tablet, or streaming TV device.

The app itself is free, and the website generally lets you jump right into live streams without asking for a login. Still, the conference hasn’t clearly guaranteed free access to every event, so check the individual listing before game time.

If you’re looking for a specific matchup, the MEAC composite schedule is another useful starting point. It can help you identify whether a game is assigned to MEAC Network or another broadcaster.

What can you watch on MEAC Network?

MEAC Network features more than 100 live events each year, including regular-season competition and select conference championships. Its fall schedule includes football, volleyball, and cross country, while the on-demand library offers basketball and other MEAC sports.

You’ll find three main types of programming on the platform.

  • Live sports: Select regular-season games and conference championship events.
  • Game replays: Full-length broadcasts and other archived events available on demand.
  • Original programming: Campus features, athlete interviews, behind-the-scenes coverage, and special conference programs.

For a closer look at the athletes themselves, check out “Beyond the Jersey.” The original series features football players from South Carolina State, North Carolina Central, Norfolk State, and other MEAC schools discussing their experiences on and off the field.

What isn’t included with MEAC Network?

Not every game involving a MEAC school is available on the conference’s streaming platform. ESPN holds rights to a significant portion of the league’s football and basketball schedule, while some games fall under outside media agreements.

MEAC games on ESPN

Under its current agreement, ESPN carries nearly two dozen regular-season MEAC football games annually, along with selected men’s basketball matchups. The media deal also covers the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, including both championship games on linear ESPN channels.

Those games aren’t automatically available through MEAC Network. If a matchup is assigned to ESPN, you’ll need access to the specific channel or digital stream carrying it. Our ESPN channel guide can help with traditional TV options.

Nonconference games and other broadcasters

Neutral-site matchups and road games against nonconference opponents can complicate things further. Depending on the event, broadcast rights may belong to the host school’s conference or a separate organizer.

That means a MEAC team could turn up on another platform, including HBCU GO or FloSports, for certain nonconference games. When that happens, no amount of searching the MEAC Network app will bring up the missing broadcast.

MEAC Network apps and supported devices

MEAC Network works across computers, mobile devices, and several popular streaming TV platforms. The conference currently lists support for:

  • Computers: Compatible web browsers through the MEAC Network website.
  • Phones and tablets: iOS and Android devices.
  • Streaming devices: Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV, and Apple TV.

You can find the app through your device’s app store, including the Apple App Store and Google Play. Availability may vary by device model or software version. If the MEAC Network app isn’t available on your streaming device, you can still watch on a computer or phone through the conference’s website.
