The Buckeyes kick off the 2025 season by hosting Texas in a rematch of last season’s Cotton Bowl playoff game. Notably, the game also doubles as the launch of the Arch Manning era at quarterback for the Longhorns and Lee Corso’s final episode of ESPN’s College GameDay.
As for the rest of Ohio State’s non-conference slate, fans will have to prepare for a Peacock-exclusive matchup against the Ohio Bobcats. The Buckeyes dodge Oregon in Big Ten play, but in the back half of the year, they’ll face off against a championship-or-bust Penn State squad and an Illinois team with dark horse potential.
