MLS Season Pass also comes with live Leagues Cup and MLS NEXT matches. Plus, Apple and MLS conjured up a great selection of announcers this season—giving you English- and Spanish-language commentary for every game. The Apple TV app only offers its Multiview feature on select devices, so not everyone can watch multiple MLS games simultaneously. MLS Season Pass is a straightforward streaming service with some nifty features for Apple users. However, we love having the option to switch between different audio channels for every live game.
We already highlighted how each match comes with English- and Spanish-language commentary. But all games featuring Canadian teams will also have a Canadian French–language audio track to choose from. Plus, you can select local radio broadcasts as alternate audio to hear how unique the play-by-play announcers are for all 29 clubs.
Our biggest concern with MLS Season Pass is that its multiscreen option is available only on Apple TV 4K and iPad devices. Most MLS matches take place in bulk on Wednesdays and Saturdays—meaning many games happen simultaneously. Introducing a picture-in-picture or split-screen view across all devices is vital for those who play MLS Fantasy, so we hope Apple adds it soon.
