CableTV.com’s NFL Game of the Week

Detroit Lions at New York Jets | CBS, Paramount+, NFL SUNDAY TICKET

Coverage begins Sunday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. eastern: Who knew the Detroit Lions would be turning heads this late in the season? Apart from Jared Goff’s fan club and some hopelessly devoted Lions supporters, most of us wrote the team off around Halloween. But sure enough, head coach Dan Campbell and crew have found another gear that could propel the team into the NFL Playoffs.

Another team on the fringe of the playoffs is the New York Jets. They’ve had a loosey-goosey season, including back-to-back December losses. But while they seem to be distancing themselves from the playoff picture, a win against the Lions could turn the tables in the AFC—setting up a thrilling final few weeks of the regular season.
