What is The Book of Boba Fett?

The Book of Boba Fett is the latest series from the Star Wars cinematic universe that premiered last year on Disney+. The new show was teased in a post-credits scene in The Mandalorian’s season 2 finale and will feature the same production team, led by Jon Favreau.

The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison as Star Wars fan favorite Boba Fett, a galactic bounty hunter who first appeared in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in 1980.

The character has also made cameos in Star Wars comics, video games, books, and the animated The Clone Wars. Morrison will be joined by Ming-Na Wen, who plays assassin Fennec Shand.

The new adventure will follow Fett and Shand’s return to the planet Tatooine, where they plan to stake their claim on the territory that once belonged to crime lord Jabba the Hutt, Fett’s former boss. Of course, they’ll have to fight plenty of shady underworld characters in flashy battle scenes first—this is the (Star Wars) way.

Is Fett’s endgame to start his own criminal organization, or does he have something else in mind? Favreau and Disney+ aren’t saying, adding to the mystery of The Book of Boba Fett.
