DIRECTV Adds AMC+, Shudder, Fanatiz to Genre Packs

DIRECTV announced a series of new additions to its Genre Pack streamer and channel packs:
- AMC+ has been added to MyEntertainment.
- Shudder is available on MyCinema.
- Fanatiz has been added to MiEspañol.
Pricing for all three packs remains the same, and all three streamers are now available to DIRECTV customers.
What you’ll get with the new Genre Pack streamers
DIRECTV’s Genre Packs offer a strong mix of channels and streamers for TV subscribers. All three of DIRECTV’s new streaming services fit the mold within their respective packs.
- AMC+ is the streaming home for channels including AMC, BBC America, IFC, and SundanceTV. Top shows on the streamer include “The Walking Dead” series, “Mad Men”, and “Interview with a Vampire.”
- Shudder offers a library of original and featured horror films and TV shows for the spooky fans in your household.
- Fanatiz is a sports streamer that specializes in South American soccer games and programming. You’ll get live game access along with sports news and other South American sports coverage.
DIRECTV is no stranger to the à la carte trend, as everyone from traditional to streaming TV providers has introduced similar channel packs to lower their base pricing.
That said, DIRECTV is unlike a lot of streamers since its Genre Packs bundle streamers alongside additional channels — you’ll get between 10 and 60+ channels depending on which Genre Pack you go with.
While all three streaming services are fairly niche, we’re here for TV providers being willing to offer more bang for your buck and integrate streamers alongside live TV programming.
