  • Zach Cregger’s buzzy horror film Weapons is finally streaming at video-on-demand (VOD).
  • Weapons isn’t on a subscription streaming service yet, but it’ll eventually be on HBO Max™.
  • Weapons is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 14, 2025.

OMG! Have you seen Weapons yet? I’ve seen it twice now. If you haven’t been able to catch Zach Cregger’s chilling, gripping Barbarian follow-up in theaters, and you’re getting tired of replying “no” to the incessant queries of your coworkers, friends, and relatives, you’re in luck. On Monday, September 8, Weapons—the third-highest-rated horror movie of 2025 according to Rotten Tomatoes—finally arrived at video-on-demand (VOD) outlets for rent ($19.99) or purchase ($24.99). See below for links to where the film is available.

Pro tip: Wanna save a buck? You can rent Weapons from Plex for only $18.99.

When will Weapons be on HBO Max?

But when will Weapons be available on subscription-based streaming services? I haven’t seen a streaming release date for Weapons, but I can make an educated guess as to where it will land: Most, if not all, Warner Bros. movies go to HBO Max. Since it’s spooky season, and the film’s so popular, we think that’ll happen by the beginning of October.

Where to watch Barbarian and other Zach Cregger movies

Weapons is Cregger’s follow-up to his equally buzzy and comparably creepy 2022 horror debut, Barbarian (another spooky flick you just gotta see). You should also check out the fantastic sci-fi thriller Companion, which Cregger produced and was released in January.

Zach Cregger also co-directed and wrote two comedy films with the late Trevor Moore, Cregger’s friend and fellow The Whitest Kids U’ Know (TWKUK) member: 2009’s critically savaged Miss March and 2011’s The Civil War on Drugs. Cregger also wrote another TKWUK film, the animated Mars, which came out in 2024.

You definitely need to see at least Barbarian, but here are automatically updated JustWatch links with streaming and renting information for everything.
