What shows are on Peacock?

Besides being the only place where you can stream The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Battlestar Galactica (big early-2000s energy here), Peacock also carries 20,000 hours of movies, TV shows, and sports events. But it’s not equal in all areas.

Peacock is best for streaming TV series—both older shows and current day-after-broadcast NBC titles—and its growing stable of gut-splitting originals like Poker Face and Ted. Its movie library is no threat to Max or Paramount+, and its live sports coverage still has some growing pains (though WWE wrestling, the Olympics, and international soccer have been solid hits for Peacock).

We’ve come up with over 150 Peacock streaming recommendations here, which you can watch on either of Peacock’s Premium plans (ad-supported or ad-free).

Best TV Shows on Peacock

Poker Face (Peacock)

Poker Face | Comedy, mystery

Fugitive from the law Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne) travels New Mexico, taking odd jobs on the down-low and solving murders with her acute talent for pinpointing liars. Like Columbo with a bitchin’ blue Barracuda instead of a trench coat, Charlie breezes from locale to locale, stumbling upon a new case in every episode of Poker Face—a Rian Johnson (Knives Out) creation, BTW. Thanks to him and Lyonne’s winning performance, Peacock has one of its biggest hits ever.

Twisted Metal (Peacock)

Twisted Metal | Comedy, sci-fi

Based on the classic video game, Twisted Metal stars Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz as delivery drivers who work between post-apocalyptic cities while avoiding motorized thieves and maniacs (like Will Arnett as villainous clown Sweet Tooth). Twisted Metal has been critically hailed as one of the few video game adaptations to get it right, alongside The Last of Us (good company).

Mrs. Davis (Peacock)

Mrs. Davis | Comedy, sci-fi

Nun Simone (Betty Gilpin) is on a mission to destroy the world’s most powerful AI, known as Mrs. Davis. Strap in for some high-concept comedy. Mrs. Davis has been compared to Westworld, Preacher, Monty Python, classic Chuck Jones cartoons, and show creator Damon Lindelof’s own The Leftovers, but the fast-paced, colorful series stands defiantly on its own.

The Resort (Peacock)

The Resort | Comedy, mystery

Married couple Emma (Cristin Milioti, Made for Love) and Noah (William Jackson Harper, The Good Place) find themselves caught up in a 15-year-old unsolved mystery while on vacation at a Yucatan resort. Eight-episode miniseries The Resort was created by Palm Springs and Lodge 49 writer Andy Siara, so things get strange in paradise quickly.

Charmed (Peacock)

Charmed | Drama, fantasy

The CW’s 2018 reboot was an entertaining update, but the original 1998–2006 Charmed can’t be beaten when it comes to fun fantasy cheese. Witch sisters Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Prue (Shannen Doherty), and Piper (Holly Marie Combs) battle demons and warlocks while trying to hold their personal lives together. Charmed gets progressively wackier over eight seasons, with new witches (including Rose McGowan and Kaley Cuoco) being introduced along the way.

MacGruber (Peacock)

MacGruber | Comedy

Several seasons as a Saturday Night Live sketch led to 2010 cult flick MacGruber, which surprisingly turned up again in 2021 as an eight-episode Peacock original series, also entitled MacGruber. Creator and star Will Forte takes this iteration to the limits of sanity and good taste, with super-patriot MacGruber being sprung from prison to save the world from evil supervillain Enos Queeth (Billy Zane). Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillippe also return as sidekicks Vicki and Dixon.

Best movies on Peacock

Lisa Frankenstein, a teenager with curly red-brown hair styled in 1980s fashion wearing black sunglasses and a black lacy mourning outfit.

Lisa Frankenstein | Comedy, horror, romance

Kathryn Newton (Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantummania) and Cole Sprouse (Riverdale) star in this romantic horror-comedy about a lonely teenage girl who falls in love with a reanimated corpse after a freak accident.

The Holdovers (2023)

The Holdovers | Comedy, drama

Over Christmas break in 1970 New England, a frosty history teacher (Paul Giamatti) is charged with chaperoning a group of campus-bound Barton Academy students. Giamatti and director Alexander Payne haven’t worked together since 2004’s Sideways, and the warm and funny The Holdovers has been praised as a career zenith for both, racking up countless awards and nominations.

Nope (Peacock)

Nope | Horror, sci-fi

Sibling ranchers OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) and Em (Keke Palmer) discover an airborne alien entity feeding on their livestock, and it’s coming for them next if they don’t take it down. Writer/director Jordan Peele’s Nope has been called his “most enjoyable” and “creepiest” film to date, a semi-tribute to the sci-fi of Steven Spielberg and Paul Verhoeven that lays the tension and dark comedy on thick. And really, is there a better title for a horror movie than Nope? Nope.

The Hunt (Peacock)

The Hunt | Drama, horror

When it was released in 2020, The Hunt was met with mixed reviews and much controversy over the concept of rich liberals hunting down captured conservative “deplorables” for sport—it was a simpler time. It was intended as a political satire movie, but The Hunt is best enjoyed as a twist-laden action flick with Betty Gilpin (Mrs. Davis) kicking non-partisan ass.
