How to get regional sports networks on Peacock
After years of anticipation, NBC Sports Regional Networks are finally available on Peacock as add-on subscriptions. That means if you live in the right region, you can pay extra to stream live, in-market MLB, NBA, and NHL games without cable.
So, how do you get your local NBC Sports RSN on Peacock? These add-ons are only available in select areas, so you’ll first need to check if your zip code qualifies. If it does, you can subscribe to NBC Sports Bay Area, Boston, California, or Philadelphia for 24/7 access to live games, local studio shows, and other regional programs.
In this guide, I’ll break down the pricing and content of Peacock’s four RSN add-ons to help you decide if they’re worth the cost.

Peacock RSN prices vary based on location
Each Peacock RSN add-on has its own monthly cost, ranging from $14.95 to $24.95. On top of that, you must subscribe to one of Peacock’s base plans—either Peacock Premium ($7.99/mo.) or Peacock Premium Plus ($13.99/mo.). If you’re not already a subscriber, Peacock will automatically add the lower-tier base plan to your cart when you sign up for an RSN add-on.
Check out the table below for add-on costs and primary coverage areas. You can also hit the “View Plan” buttons to learn more about each add-on and see if your zip code qualifies.

What do Peacock’s RSN add-ons include?
The four NBC Sports Regional Networks on Peacock give you 24/7 live access to each linear channel and all overflow content. Depending on the region, you may see a mix of in-market MLB, NBA, and NHL games, plus team-specific shows and other local sports coverage.
Of course, that’s just the broad overview. I took a closer look at what each RSN add-on includes and where you can watch it.

NBC Sports Bay Area ($17.95/mo.)
NBC Sports Bay Area is the must-have channel for in-market San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors games. After all, can you really call yourself a Bay Area sports fan if you’re not locked into every Giants at bat or watching Stephen Curry put on another masterclass?
Beyond MLB and NBA action, the channel delivers exclusive San Francisco 49ers pregame and postgame coverage. You’ll also get Santa Cruz Warriors games, West Coast Conference matchups, and select high school events to keep you tuned in at every level. You just need to live within one of the network’s eligible regions in California, Oregon, Nevada, or Hawaii.

NBC Sports Boston ($14.95/mo.)
For those in New England, NBC Sports Boston offers comprehensive access to the Boston Celtics and Connecticut Sun. It also airs home games for the NBA G League’s Maine Celtics and Major League Rugby’s New England Free Jacks.
When games take a break, NBC Sports Boston has in-depth analysis and debate shows like Arbella Early Edition, Boston Sports Tonight with Felger & Holley, Zolak & Bertrand, and Felger & Mazz. Plus, New England Patriots fans can stay in the loop year-round with exclusive programming and gameday coverage.

NBC Sports California ($17.95/mo.)
NBC Sports California is the TV home for Athletics, San Jose Sharks, and Sacramento Kings games, giving you nearly every fastball, slap shot, and buzzer-beater. Whether you’re tracking the Kings’ playoff push, watching the Sharks battle on the ice, or following the A’s relocation saga, this channel add-on has it all.
Available across much of California, as well as parts of Oregon and Nevada, the network also carries San Jose State sports, some Bay FC NWSL matches, and AHL action featuring the San Jose Barracuda. It’s a well-rounded lineup for diehard NorCal sports fans.

NBC Sports Philadelphia ($24.95/mo.)
For Philly fans, NBC Sports Philadelphia delivers robust local coverage. You’ll get live 76ers, Flyers, and Phillies games, along with in-depth studio shows for each team. The channel also features Philadelphia Eagles content through game day segments and in-season analysis. While it doesn’t air live Eagles games, all Peacock subscriptions stream every Sunday Night Football matchup.
Serving Eastern Pennsylvania and parts of Delaware and New Jersey, NBC Sports Philadelphia offers coverage extending beyond the “Big Four” leagues. The channel broadcasts college sports from the Philadelphia Big 5, Atlantic 10, Ivy League, and Coastal Athletic Association. And when live events spill over to NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus, the Peacock add-on will include those, so you never miss a beat.
Other ways to watch your local NBC Sports RSN
If Peacock’s RSN add-ons aren’t the right fit for you, there are other ways to catch your local NBC Sports Regional Network. Most cable and satellite providers, including DIRECTV, Spectrum, and Xfinity, carry these channels in eligible regions.
For a streaming-friendly alternative, I’ve rounded up four live TV streaming services that offer NBC Sports RSNs. While these options cost much more than Peacock’s RSN add-ons, they give you access to a broader range of sports and entertainment channels.

RSNs on Peacock FAQ
Is SportsNet New York (SNY) on Peacock?
No, SNY isn’t available on Peacock. Although Peacock’s parent company Comcast owns a minority stake in the New York-based RSN, SNY’s streaming home is now part of the MLB app. A standalone SNY subscription costs $24.99/mo. for in-market New York Mets games.
How does Peacock verify my location for RSN access?
After signing up for a Peacock RSN with an eligible zip code, the service will verify your location using your device’s IP address. Just remember that you’ll experience content blackouts if you try streaming the RSN outside its designated market.
Can I bundle NBC Sports Bay Area and California on Peacock?
Yes, eligible Peacock customers can sign up for both NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California. But Peacock doesn’t offer a bundle discount for subscribing to both, meaning you’ll pay the full monthly price for each add-on.
Why you should trust us
I researched Peacock’s RSN support pages and NBC Sports RSN broadcast territories to craft this guide. Next, I compared Peacock’s RSN add-on plans by cost and coverage against other viewing options. The CableTV.com team’s long-term experience streaming TV shows, movies, and live sports on Peacock further informed my analysis.
