The last couple of years for the New York Mets have been decent insofar as they’ve been winning seasons. I’m looking forward to watching the Mets in 2026 to see whether it’ll be feast or famine.
There’s been a lot of change to the team in just a few short months, so there’s plenty of reason to believe a feast is coming. But sometimes the bottom falls out from under the Mets, and they underachieve.
The Mets wanna win. Their fans want them to win even more. Keep reading to find out how you can watch every Mets game during the 2026 season.
What channels have New York Mets games?
SportsNet New York (SNY) and WPIX 11 (the local CW channel) will air 145+ Mets games to in-market fans during the 2026 MLB season. Apple TV, ESPN, FOX, MLB Network, and Peacock will also televise Mets games to national audiences.
Fans who live outside the designated Mets broadcast area will need MLB.TV or MLB EXTRA INNINGS to watch games that air on SNY and WPIX 11.
How to watch New York Mets Spring Training games
The Mets start Spring Training on February 21 against the Miami Marlins. And even though it isn’t technically the famed Subway Series, the Mets play the New York Yankees twice.
A matchup against the Marlins on March 22 is the end of Spring Training for the Mets. Check out the full schedule below. I’ll update it as more information comes out.

Best TV plans for watching the New York Mets
Mets fans, you don’t have a lot of options when it comes to choosing a TV provider to watch your favorite team in 2026. And that’s because only a few carry SNY, which will air the majority of Mets games this season. Luckily, the options out there are good ones.
My recommendation is DIRECTV because it offers SNY, along with the other channels you need to watch the Mets. The only games you won’t be able to watch with DIRECTV are the ones on Apple TV and Peacock.
Standalone in-market TV package for Mets games

Do you live in the New York area? If so, you have the exclusive option of watching the Mets without a cable or satellite provider. All you have to do is subscribe to SNY through MLB.com, which offers both seasonal and yearly packages. You’ll then be able to watch nearly 125 Mets games broadcast on the channel during the 2026 season using the MLB app.
Just keep in mind: Games airing locally on WPIX 11 or nationally on networks like ESPN and FOX are not included in this package. Also, if you’re an existing cable or satellite customer with SNY access, you can link your provider login on MLB.com to stream SNY games and programs.
