Senior Bowl 2025 preview: top prospects to watch
Rooting for your favorite college players to make the league? Hoping your NFL team will take that gem of a fourth-round draft pick? This year’s Senior Bowl offers a bounty of prospects to track regardless of which camp you’re in. Let’s break down a few of the biggest trends and questions ahead of the 2025 Senior Bowl.
Need a defensive lineman?
You’re in luck! If your team needs to rebuild their pass rush, more than 40 defensive linemen are heading down to Mobile this week. First-round talent like Walter Nolen (DL, Ole Miss) and Shemar Stewart (DE, Texas A&M) are among the most notable Senior Bowl attendees.
Other big names include Mike Green (DL, Marshall) and Donovan Ezeiruaku (DE, Boston College), who led the nation in sacks among FBS schools.

Which receiver wins the weekend?
Among the 2025 Senior Bowl’s pass catchers, who’ll have a Puka Nacua or Ladd McConkey-like rise up this year’s draft boards? This year’s Senior Bowl roster has a number of players with breakout potential.
Elic Aymanor (WR, Stanford) toiled away on bad Stanford squads, but the big-bodied receiver still put up 831 yards and six touchdowns on 63 catches this season. Other notable players include Jaylin Noel (WR, Iowa State), Tez Johnson (WR, Oregon), and Harold Fannin Jr. (TE, Bowling Green), who led the nation in receiving yardage.
A good comp for Harold Fannin Jr. is Harrison Bryant.

Who’s QB3?
Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders are locks to be the first two quarterbacks off the board at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay. But amid a middling quarterback draft class, several Senior Bowl prospects will battle it out for the chance to sneak into the QB3 discussion.
Alabama’s Jalen Milroe entered the season with first-round hype and a Jalen Hurts-like pedigree, but he was plagued by inconsistency during a rare 9–4 season for the Crimson Tide. Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard and Ohio State’s Will Howard are fresh off appearances in the National Championship, while Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart, Louisville’s Tyler Shough, and Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel could make the most with a strong week of practice.
Elsewhere, Laurier’s Taylor Elgersma has the distinction of being the first Canadian quarterback to be invited to the Senior Bowl.
