SWAC TV is the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s free streaming home for live games, replays, and other league programming. The conference designed the platform to feature content from all 18 of its sponsored sports, giving fans another place to follow SWAC teams beyond nationally distributed matchups.
The viewing options have grown since the platform’s launch in 2025. Alongside the SWAC TV website and apps, the conference now operates a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel distributed through several streaming platforms.
But SWAC TV isn’t an all-access pass to every conference game. HBCU GO and ESPN carry their own SWAC schedules, while nonconference road and neutral-site games can follow another rights agreement. In this guide, we break down how to watch SWAC TV, what you’ll find there, and where to look when a matchup lands somewhere else.
Where can I watch SWAC TV?
You can watch SWAC TV on the conference’s website, through its free streaming app, or through its standalone FAST channel on participating platforms.
The website and apps give you direct access to individual events and on-demand programming. The FAST channel works more like a traditional scheduled TV feed, so the direct SWAC TV platform is usually the better starting point when you’re hunting for a specific matchup. You can also check the SWAC composite schedule for game listings and available viewing links.
What can you watch on SWAC TV?
SWAC TV isn’t just a football or basketball platform. The conference says its free service features preseason, regular-season, and postseason programming across all 18 SWAC-sponsored sports, depending on which events are assigned to the platform.
SWAC TV’s programming falls into three main categories.
- Live sports: Football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, and other SWAC events.
- Replays: Completed games that remain available in the on-demand library.
- Conference programming: Features, media sessions, sports talk, podcasts, and other SWAC-produced content.
The exact lineup changes throughout the year, so one SWAC TV appearance doesn’t mean a team’s entire season will stream there. If a matchup lands on another network or streaming service, our broader college football and college basketball viewing guides can help you find it.
What isn’t included with SWAC TV?
SWAC games can land on several different outlets, and SWAC TV is only one of them. HBCU GO and ESPN have their own broadcast schedules, while some nonconference games fall under separate media rights agreements.
HBCU GO and ESPN assignments
HBCU GO carries its own selection of SWAC football and basketball games, while ESPN airs other matchups across its networks and streaming platforms. Those assignments are separate from SWAC TV.
If a game is listed for HBCU GO, that’s where you’ll need to watch. For ESPN matchups, check which network or streaming service carries the game, since access requirements vary. Our HBCU GO viewing guide and ESPN channel guide can help with those games.
Road and neutral-site rights
Nonconference road games and neutral-site events can add another wrinkle. Media rights may belong to the opposing school’s conference or the event organizer, which can send a SWAC team to an entirely different network or streaming service.
For those matchups, the host school’s athletics website or the event organizer’s official schedule is often the best place to confirm where to watch.
SWAC TV apps and supported devices
The SWAC lists its free app for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV, with Android downloads also available through Google Play. You can also watch directly through the SWAC TV website on a compatible web browser.
The FAST channel expands those options further. Distribution platforms include Amazon Prime Video, Plex, Xumo Play, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, and Dingo TV. Device compatibility and channel placement vary by platform.
If you’re trying to find one particular game, start with the direct SWAC TV event listing rather than searching every FAST app. It’ll save you some channel-surfing cardio.
