How To Watch Wrestling at the 2024 Summer Olympics

The 2024 Olympics in Paris, France, will host wrestlers at the Champ-de-Mars arena from August 5 to 11.

Although Olympic wrestling will broadcast replays on USA Network and CNBC, your favorite athlete may not be featured (or you might be asleep). So, if you want to stream multiple events, Peacock is the best option because you can watch all of the replays at regular U.S. hours.

Men’s Olympic freestyle wrestling 57 kg schedule

Spencer Lee is a three-time NCAA champion, three-time Big Ten champion, and won gold at the 2024 Pan American Championships. He’s favored to win his first Olympic gold this year, but Stevan Mićić from Serbia will give him a run for his money.

2024 results: Spencer Lee met Japan’s Rei Higuchi on the mat, and Lee won the silver medal.

Zain Retherford most recently became champion in his weight class at Worlds and the Pan American Championships in 2023. He’s favored to win bronze in Paris, so make sure to block off time on your calendar for August 11.

Men’s Olympic freestyle wrestling 74 kg schedule

Kyle Dake has quite the resume. He’s a four-time world champion and a Pan American Champion four years in a row from 2021 to 2024. He also won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, so there’s no question why he’s favored to win gold.

2024 results: Kyle Dake dominated Serbia’s Khetag Tsabolov to win the bronze medal.

Men’s Olympic freestyle wrestling 86 kg schedule

In 2023, Aaron Brooks from Penn State became a U23 World Champion, U.S. National Champion, NCAA Divison I Champion, and Big Ten Champion. Since 2017, he’s won 11 gold medals and two silvers across his wrestling career.

2024 results: Aaron Brooks won bronze after beating Uzbekistan’s Javrail Shapiev.

Men’s Olympic freestyle wrestling 97 kg schedule

Kyle Snyder returns for his third consecutive Olympic Games. With 30 golds in Championships, he’s the most decorated athlete on Team USA this year. His Olympic career includes winning gold in 2016 and silver in 2020—and this year, he’s favored to win the silver medal again.

Men’s Olympic freestyle wrestling 125 kg schedule

From the University of Michigan wrestling team, Adam Coon and Mason Parris will both be competing in the heavyweight division.

In 2023, during his senior year, Mason Parris won bronze at the World Championships and became NCAA’s heavyweight champion. He was also the Big Ten champion and received the Dan Hodge Trophy.

Adam Coon, a Wolverine from 2014 to 2016, got back into wrestling training in January 2023 after a two-year hiatus. Before that, he has medals dating back to 2011.

How to watch men’s Greco-Roman wrestling

Kamal Bey is No. 1 in Team USA rankings in his 77-kg weight class. This Army soldier most recently won gold at the Pan American Games in 2023 and won at trials with a sweep. The odds say he’ll finish in seventh place, so tune in to see if he defeats the odds.

Josef Rau, a 97-kg competitor, is No. 1 in Team USA rankings and most recently won bronze at a wrestling tournament in Bulgaria. Just last year, this now 33-year-old won gold at the Pan Am Championships.

After securing a spot during the U.S. Olympic Trials, Payton Jacobsen (87 kg) from Northern Michigan University has been preparing for the Olympic Games like a true wrestler. He has spent time overseas training in Croatia and wrestled in significant bouts in Budapest, Hungary. He’s ready to give it all he’s got on the mats.

How to watch women’s Olympic freestyle wrestling

Six women will be representing the U.S. in Olympic freestyle wrestling: Sarah Hildebrandt, Dominique Parrish, Helen Maroulis, Kayla Miracle, Amit Elor, and Kennedy Blades.

Hildebrandt (50 kg) won bronze in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and she is favored to win the silver medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Parrish, in 53 kg, is a World and Pan-American champion. Maroulis (57 kg) won two Olympic medals, a gold in 2016 and bronze in 2020, and she’s favored to win silver in 2024. Miracle most recently became Pan Am Champion in the 62 kg weight class. Elor (68 kg) has nine gold medals under her belt from Worlds and championships. Blades (76 kg) has wrestled for 17 years but has yet to win a wrestling championship.

Women’s Olympic Freestyle Wrestling 2024 results:

• Amit Elor defeated Kyrgyzstan’s Meerim Zhumanazarova to win gold in the 68 kg weight class.
• Sarah Hildebrandt is taking home the gold medal after beating Cuba’s Yusneylys Guzmán in the 50 kg weight class.
• Helen Maroulis won bronze in the 57 kg weight class with a win over Canada’s Hannah Taylor.
• Kennedy Blades reached the 76 kg weight class final and won silver after getting beat by Japan’s Yuka Kagami.
