New movie releases available to rent/buy on VOD this week

Snow White (2025)

Yep, Disney is still stuck in a hellscape of its own design, churning out live-action remake after live-action remake rather than reviving its shuttered traditional animation studio. The latest victim of the live-action treatment is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Disney’s first feature-length film and the first to introduce a Disney Princess.

This reimagining stars Rachel Zegler (West Side Story, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) as the titular princess and Gal Godot (Wonder Woman, Death on the Nile) as the Evil Queen.

You can rent Snow White from video-on-demand (VOD) outlets like Prime Video, Google Movies & TV, and VUDU as of Tuesday, May 13.
