EarthLink's 5G Home Internet is great for casual play, but fiber is still the gold standard for gaming. 5G relies on cell towers, which can result in higher "ping" (latency) or jitter compared to a hardwired fiber line. If you are a competitive FPS gamer, go for EarthLink Fiber.
Do I have to sign a contract with EarthLink?
It depends on the technology: Fiber and satellite: These plans usually require a 12-month contract. If you cancel early, you may face an Early Termination Fee (ETF) of around $200. 5G Home Internet: Typically offers no-contract, month-to-month options, making it a better choice for renters.
What is the customer satisfaction of EarthLink?
EarthLink didn't have enough respondents to place in our most recent internet customer satisfaction survey. But generally, EarthLink customer feedback aligned with the type of internet service EarthLink offered locally.
