Where to watch ‘Despicable Me’ (2010)

“Despicable Me” is the movie that started it all back in 2010. Yes, kids who grew up watching the Minions are adults now—I should know, because I’m one of them. The first film follows Gru as he first takes in three young girls, despite also juggling his supervillainous career.

You can watch “Despicable Me” with an HBO Max subscription or rent it from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV , or Plex.

Where to watch ‘Despicable Me 2’ (2013)

The first “Despicable Me” was all about Gru becoming a single father, but he doesn’t stay one for long. In “Despicable Me 2,” he meets agent Lucy Wilde, who quickly becomes a mother figure to his kids.

You can watch “Despicable Me 2” with a Peacock subscription or rent it from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Plex.

Where to watch ‘Despicable Me 3’

Now that Gru has a growing family, it’s time for him to meet a long-lost relative: his twin brother Dru (also voiced by Steve Carell), who tries to tempt Gru into his old villainous ways.

You can watch “Despicable Me 3” with a Netflix subscription or rent it from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Plex.

Where to watch ‘Despicable Me 4’

Gru now has a new son, Gru Jr., but that doesn’t mean he’s safe from supervillainy. His old high-school rival makes things complicated when he breaks out of prison looking for revenge.

You can watch “Despicable Me 4” with an Amazon Prime Video subscription or rent it from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Plex.

Where to watch ‘Minions’

“Minions” is the first prequel to the “Despicable Me” movies. It explores the Minions’ early life serving more of the world’s greatest villains, including the ’60s supervillain Scarlet Overkill.

You can watch “Minions” with a Peacock subscription or rent it from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Plex.

Where to watch ‘Minions: Rise of Gru’

“Minions: Rise of Gru” is the second “Despicable Me” prequel. It finally shows the moment the Minions meet and start working for Gru, an eleven-year-old boy in the ’70s.

You can watch “Minions: Rise of Gru” with a Netflix subscription or rent it from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Plex.

Where to watch ‘Minions & More’

“Minions & More” is a two-part anthology series collecting shorts created over the course of nine years. Most of the shorts were included as bonus features for other Illumination films, and often cross over with characters from other movies like “The Grinch” and “The Secret Life of Pets.”

You can sort of think of this as Illumination’s answer to Pixar shorts.

You can watch “Minions & More 1” and “Minions & More 2” with a Netflix subscription.

Where to watch ‘Minions & Monsters’

“Minions & Monsters” travels back in the Minions timeline once more, making it the earliest movie in the timeline. It shows what the Minions were up to in the 1920s: namely, making black-and-white films and encountering weird little monster guys.

“Minions & Monsters” opened on July 1, 2026 and is currently in theaters. We expect that it will come to Peacock when the theatrical window is over.
