How to Watch Your Local Thanksgiving Day Parade
Parades are great, but not everyone can attend them in person. Maybe they’re too loud, too far away, or you’d just rather stay home with your family.
That’s why millions of people tune in to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV each November. But it’s not the only game in town. You might have another parade closer to home that’s worth your viewership, too.

Let’s go over the ways you can watch some of the U.S.’s other regional Thanksgiving parades—not just the one in New York.

America’s Hometown Thanksgiving (Plymouth, MA)
America’s Hometown Thanksgiving is one of America’s newer Thanksgiving parades, but it’s still worth checking out. Locals can catch the full two-hour parade live on Saturday, November 22 at 10 a.m. ET on Boston’s ABC affiliate, WCVB Channel 5.
If that’s not your speed, WCVB will also air an encore broadcast right on Thanksgiving—Thursday, November 27 at 9 a.m. ET.

America’s Thanksgiving Parade (Detroit, MI)
Locals will be able to watch Detroit’s Thanksgiving parade on Thanksgiving morning (November 27) on WDIV Local 4. We know that the parade will begin at 8:45 a.m. ET, but it’s unclear if the broadcast will begin at the same time.
Unfortunately, Detroit isn’t as forthcoming as Plymouth. The parade will be syndicated to other stations across the country, but you’ll have to wait until November 24 to find out where. If all else fails, you’ll be able to stream the parade live through Click on Detroit.
Chicago Thanksgiving Parade (Chicago, IL)
This year, Chicago’s Thanksgiving Parade will air in the Chicago area—and nationally!—on Pluto TV. It’ll air on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, at 8:00 a.m. CT (that’s 9:00 a.m. ET).
Pluto TV is a FAST (free, ad-supported television) streaming service, so you won’t have to pay or create an account to watch the parade.
6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade (Philadelphia, PA)
Philadelphia hosts the oldest Thanksgiving parade in the United States—just four years older than Macy’s and Detroit’s. You can tune in to this historic event on November 27 at 8:30 a.m. ET, when it will air live on 6abc, Hulu, ABC News Live, and Disney+.
For non-residents, the parade will start at 9:00 a.m. ET.
Other great Thanksgiving parades
There are plenty of other parades around the country, too. It’s time for a lightning round: here’s every other publicly televised Thanksgiving parade we could find in the U.S.
