How to Watch the Los Angeles Angels

The Angels buy a TV channel, but can they win more games?

The Los Angeles Angels lost Shohei Ohtani in December 2023, and it’s been tough sledding since then. Although, to be fair, the Angels haven’t been a winning team since 2015.

That being said, I know die-hard fans won’t be deterred, and they’ll want to watch as many Angels games as they can. That’s why it was so crucial for the franchise to take full control of its local broadcasts by acquiring FanDuel Sports Network West (FDSN West). The team also introduced a streaming-only option on the MLB app (more on that later).

I made this watch guide for Angels fans who believe, like no other, that the team has the potential to surprise the league. Keep reading if you don’t want to miss an inning of Angels baseball in 2026.

Where to watch the Angels—local TV breakdown

While many MLB teams shifted to league-distributed models this year, the Los Angeles Angels chose to do things differently. The franchise bought FanDuel Sports Network West outright, making sure fans wouldn’t experience any channel disruptions or blackout changes.

What’s new in 2026, though, is the standalone streaming service, Angels.TV. Now, fans in Southern California, Hawaii, and Las Vegas have more options to tune in. Additionally, a handful of games will simulcast over the air for free on FOX 11 Plus (KCOP-TV 13).

The Angels will have plenty of games on national networks this season. You’ll find these high-profile matchups on traditional channels like ESPN, FOX, FS1, MLB Network, TBS, and NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).

Thanks to the MLB’s evolving TV deals, you’ll also need a few specific apps in your rotation. Apple TV continues its Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders, while Peacock Premium serves as the primary hub for MLB Sunday Leadoff morning games and most NBC sports coverage.

Best TV plans for watching the Los Angeles Angels

After researching DIRECTV for some time, I’ve come to believe it’s the best service not just for those who love the Angels, but for MLB fans in general. Angels fans will get FanDuel Sports Network West, plus the ability to watch national TV games for the rest of the league.

Of course, if you don’t want an expensive live TV service, you can always opt for a standalone streaming subscription. Angels.TV will have in-market fans covered for most of the regular season, as will MLB.TV for out-of-market fans. You’ll just miss out on nationally televised games that air exclusively on networks like FOX, Apple TV, and Peacock.
