DIRECTV Slashes Sports Prices Just in Time for the World Cup Final

DIRECTV’s offering $20 sports discounts for a limited time
Plenty of providers are using the World Cup to sling deals to new subscribers. But for year-round sports fans, it doesn’t get much better than DIRECTV, our perennial pick for the Best Streaming Service for Sports (and the most popular streamer for soccer fans according to this year’s Customer Satisfaction Survey, too).
Here are the details: DIRECTV is currently discounting its MySports® Genre Pack® to just $49.99/mo. for the first two months. With MySports, you’ll get access to 20+ channels, including the necessary FOX and FS1 to catch the rest of the matches. That includes the World Cup final, which will be played on July 19 at 3:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
On top of the $20 off deal, you’ll also get a month of free MySports Extra® for a limited time. This Mini Pack (which can only be purchased as an add-on to the larger MySports Genre Pack) adds an additional 8+ channels, including NFL Redzone and MLB Strikezone.
Just keep in mind that after one month is up, MySports Extra will renew at its going rate of $13.99/mo. plus tax. And after the second month, MySports will return to its regular price of $69.00/mo., plus tax.

Spanish speakers will need to upgrade, though
Unfortunately, if you’re a Spanish-speaking fútbol lover who wants to take advantage of this slick deal, you’ll need to look elsewhere. The DIRECTV MySports and MySports Extra Packs don’t include the two channels you need to watch the World Cup in Spanish—Telemundo and UNIVERSO.
Lucky for you, I compiled an exhaustive list of the best 2026 FIFA World Cup deals just last month. You’ll be able to take your pick from multiple discounts that’ll let you catch the World Cup finals in Spanish, and save some dinero while you’re at it.
