Fubo Lands Channel for Championship MLB Team

Fubo and SportsNet LA sign agreement
Fubo, a sports-centric live TV streaming service, signed a carriage agreement with SportsNet LA, the company announced Thursday. It marks the first time the streaming service has been able to distribute the Dodgers-centric channel.
Customers need at least the Fubo base plan to get access to SportsNet LA, the company said in a news release.
Previously, SportsNet LA was available to in-market fans through cable and satellite providers or via its standalone streaming service, SNLA+. Now Fubo subscribers can watch most Dodgers games live, plus postgame shows and original content such as “Backstage: Dodgers.”
The Dodgers start their season Thursday, March 26, at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Getting SportsNet LA is a big win for Fubo
Fubo is known for its large offering of live sports. But that reputation has taken somewhat of a hit after its dispute with NBCUniversal, which caused the company to lose access to every NBC regional sports network and other channels that carried live sports like TNT and TBS.
But getting the Dodgers just before Opening Day gives Fubo some of its groove back. The Dodgers have won back-to-back World Series titles and are expected to make another deep postseason run.
Whether customers who left return to Fubo remains to be seen. But if there are any Dodgers fans who have wanted to try Fubo but were turned off by the lack of SportsNet LA access, this is the time to try it.
