With the NFL preseason matchups now underway, it’s about time to iron out how you’ll be tuning into the 2025 NFL regular season. If you follow a non-local NFL team, or just want to watch the most football possible on Sunday, you’ll want to get an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.

NFL Sunday Ticket costs a whopping $480 per season, with no cancellation options once you’ve signed up. But don’t just take that price at face value.

Providers like YouTube TV (the home of NFL Sunday Ticket), Verizon, DISH, and DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS are all offering discounts on the service over the next few months.

As CableTV.com’s resident deals expert who keeps all of our promo pages up-to-date each month, I’ve been keeping a close eye on all of the new discounts for NFL Sunday Ticket cropping up in the countdown to September 4.

So, let me break down everything you need to know about these NFL Sunday Ticket deals, and which one you should snag to get the most football for your buck.

YouTube TV NFL Sunday Ticket deals

Like I said, there are quite a few NFL Sunday Ticket deals floating around right now in the lead-up to the NFL regular season, including ones on the exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket, YouTube TV.

YouTube TV’s currently offering a big discount to new NFL Sunday Ticket users: $200 off the base plan price, making the yearly payment $276 instead of $480. But keep in mind you’ll also have to pay for a YouTube TV subscription alongside that discounted Sunday Ticket price. That same discount applies to those looking to get NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube—no additional subscription required.

YouTube TV

Price: $82.99/mo.
Channels: 100+

Returning NFL Sunday Ticket users get a discount, too, but not quite as good—it’ll cost you $378 for the NFL Sunday Ticket 2025–2026 season. No discounts for regular YouTube though, which is a bummer.

YouTube and YouTube TV have been the home of NFL Sunday Ticket since 2023, when it switched away from DIRECTV, and we are totally here for it. YouTube TV is our pick for the best live TV streaming service, and the best NFL Sunday Ticket option for our money. These deals just sweeten the pot.

DISH NFL Sunday Ticket deals

The newest NFL Sunday Ticket deal that’s hit my radar is this one from DISH: Sign up for DISH and get NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube for $276.

To me, this deal is kinda a wash. Yes, it offers up NFL Sunday Ticket for $200 off its retail price, but it also forces you to get a whole new television service to boot—complete with contracts and a big ole satellite dish.

That said, if you’re looking to switch traditional TV providers, DISH isn’t a bad choice. I personally picked it as the best satellite TV provider in our 2025 Best TV Providers guide. And this deal is also available to current DISH customers, so if that’s you, you’re not gonna lose anything if you take DISH up on the discount.

DISH

Price: $96.99–$126.99/mo.
Channels: 190–290+

But get this: even if you sign up for DISH to get this deal, you still can’t watch NFL Sunday Ticket via DISH—you’ll need to download YouTube for that. That incongruity makes this deal even less appealing.

Here’s why we think the DISH deal isn’t worth it for most folks, from the perspective of our Sports Editor, Taylor Kujawa.

“At first glance, DISH’s NFL Sunday Ticket deal is a bit puzzling. It requires a two-year satellite TV contract just to get a $276 price on NFL Sunday Ticket that any new user can get directly from YouTube. That said, the offer has a hidden value for a very specific fan: the existing DISH subscriber who is also a returning NFL Sunday Ticket user. Instead of facing the steep $480 renewal price from YouTube, this promotion lets them get the service for the new-customer rate, saving them over $200. It’s a significant loophole, but existing customers need to act fast to make sure their old subscription hasn’t already auto-renewed.”

TLDR; our professional verdict is to skip this deal and opt for YouTube instead, unless you already are a DISH customer.

Verizon NFL Sunday Ticket deals

Just the other day, Verizon announced that it would be offering NFL Sunday Ticket for free to folks who sign up for a new Verizon mobile or home internet plan.

These Verizon deals are interesting because they’re attached to Verizon’s internet and mobile services, rather than a TV service (which Verizon does also offer).

Verizon Home Internet

Price: $49.99–$109.99/mo. (w/ Auto Pay)
Download speeds: 300–2,300 Mbps

Here’s how to qualify:

  • Buy a 5G phone: For all new and existing customers with a new line on Verizon myPlan
  • Bring your phone: For all new and existing customers with a new line on Verizon myPlan
  • Switch to Verizon Home Internet: Sign up for a Fios 1 Gig, Fios 2 Gig, 5G Home Ultimate, or LTE Home Plus internet plan

Already a Verizon customer? Typically, existing customers get the end of the deals stick, but Verizon is serving up a pretty good discount for current mobile or internet customers—$200 off NFL Sunday Ticket for the 2025 season. That’s the same deal DISH is dishing out (pun intended), but there are no new purchases needed for this one—touchdown!

DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS NFL Sunday Ticket deals

If you’re not a bar or restaurant owner, you’ll probably wanna skip down to the next section.

Residential DIRECTV losing its NFL Sunday Ticket partnership apparently didn’t sour the NFL’s relationship with the business side of DIRECTV, since DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS is still the exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket for businesses—not YouTube TV.

DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS

Price: $34.99–$114.99/mo.
Channels: 45–185+

Again, this deal is not for regular DIRECTV customers. However, if you are the owner of a sports bar, listen up, because this deal’s pretty darn good: New NFL Sunday Ticket customers using DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS will get $1,000 in bill credits when you sign up.

I expect most folks reading this won’t be able to utilize this deal. But if you own a restaurant or bar that’s looking to air NFL games for the 2025–2026 season, I think this is a can’t-miss deal.

Looking for even more NFL Sunday Ticket deals?

Did you know there are some recurring NFL Sunday Ticket deals through YouTube Primetime Channels?

One is the Student Plan, which gives qualifying students NFL Sunday Ticket for $119 per season. And for the military, teaching, and medical communities, YouTube offers a Sunday Ticket sub for $198.

Get all the details on these deals here.

Which NFL Sunday Ticket deal is the best?

On face value, any discount you can get on NFL Sunday Ticket seems great. But look closely—if the deal forces you to buy into a new monthly subscription on top of an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription (even if it’s discounted), you may be getting, saying it politely, scammed.

That sounds a bit dramatic, but you don’t want to get roped into an entirely new phone, TV, or internet plan just to save $200–$480 one time, since that new subscription will almost certainly cost you more than that in the long run.

Using that thought process helps narrow down what I think is the best NFL Sunday Ticket deal for football fans: the $200 discount from YouTube and YouTube TV. CableTV.com’s Managing Editor Mike Strayer agrees with me.

“While I’m a fan of saving money, all of the end-arounds from other TV providers aren’t worth it unless you’re a current customer locked into a contract. For most folks, getting Sunday Ticket directly through YouTube makes the most sense in terms of total cost.”

Is NFL Sunday Ticket too expensive?

So, after reading all of this deal analysis, the question remains: Is NFL Sunday Ticket even worth it for the price? The cheapest deal (for non-Verizon customers) if you don’t want to buy a new internet or phone plan still costs $276, which is a serious chunk of change.

In my opinion, NFL Sunday Ticket is worth the high price tag if you love a non-local NFL team (or just consider yourself an NFL superfan), thanks to its access to out-of-market games and multiview capabilities.

We go into much greater detail on our dedicated NFL Sunday Ticket page, but our Sports Writer, Alex Vejar, gives a pretty good summation.

“NFL Sunday Ticket is perfect for hardcore pro football fans who want to keep tabs on the league at large—no matter where they live. Pairing it with YouTube TV ensures you’ll get access to virtually every game, with few exceptions.”

So if these deals gave you the tush push you needed, make sure to snag one of the deals above before Week 1.
