Xfinity Internet to Offer a Streaming Bundle of Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV+ This Month

Xfinity is getting in on the TV bundle game with a discounted streaming triple-play for internet customers.

Update: Comcast has announced the first pricing tier for its Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+ StreamSaver bundle: $15 a month. Read more about the Xfinity streaming bundle in our latest article about what you can expect from it.

Let’s get ready to bundle! Later this month, Xfinity internet customers will be offered a discounted TV bundle consisting of Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV+. The first pricing tier has been announced, as well as the name: StreamSaver.

Yes, StreamSaver, which sounds more like a home carbonated soda maker you’d buy on Amazon. But what are we? TV experts?

Comcast chairman and CEO Brian Roberts made the announcement at last week’s MoffettNathan Media, Internet & Communications Conference. StreamSaver will be available to all Xfinity internet customers, no matter which plan they have. Roberts also said that the bundle will “add value to consumers” while helping to retain Xfinity’s internet subscriber base.

The big question right now—besides why CableTV.com wasn’t invited to the MoffettNathan Media, Internet & Communications Conference, whatever that may be—is how much StreamSaver will cost. As with previously announced bundles from Max (which wraps in Disney+ and Hulu) and the Venu streaming sports combo from Disney, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery, no one’s talking money yet.

Peacock starts at $5.99 a month, Netflix at $6.99 (both are ad-supported plans), and Apple TV+’s only plan is $9.99, which adds up to about $23. On the higher end, Peacock’s most expensive plan is $11.99 a month, Netflix’s is $22.99 (both sans ads), and Apple TV+ still costs $9.99 monthly, adding up to around $45 total per month.

What are the discounted price points that will entice Xfinity customers to jump into StreamSaver? We say:

  • Peacock (with ads), Netflix (with ads), and Apple TV+: $14.99/mo.
  • Peacock (no ads), Netflix (no ads), and Apple TV+: $19.99/mo.
  • Peacock (no ads), Netflix (no ads, 4K), and Apple TV+: $24.99/mo.

Of course, our projected bundle prices are likely lower than what the suits at Xfinity have in mind for StreamSaver—but we did base our numbers on Disney’s established Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle tiers, so we might not be far off. Plus, Roberts emphasized that the StreamSaver bundle will “come at a vastly reduced price to anything available today.”
