Hulu + Live TV has many perks we really like: ESPN Select and Disney+ bundle options, close to 100 channels, and unlimited DVR storage. Fubo, on the other hand, gives Hulu a run for its money with 50–291+ channels for sports, kids, entertainment, news, and niche.
Let’s get into the details of these two streaming services to help you figure out the best one for your home.

Deals and promotions
Hulu + Live TV doesn’t usually have deals, but it does offer the best streaming bundle. For $90 per month, Hulu Live includes Hulu’s on-demand library, Disney+, and ESPN Select. And for $9 more, you can get rid of ads in your streaming.
Fubo has two main deals: A free trial and discounts on your first month of service. We like how Fubo lets you take it for a test ride to see if you like the interface and channel lineup before handing over money.
How are Hulu + Live TV and Fubo different?
The biggest differences between Hulu + Live TV and Fubo are Cloud DVR storage, channel counts, and Hulu’s inclusion of ESPN Select and Disney+. We’ll break it down below.
Hulu + Live TV vs. Fubo

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hulu + Live TV | $88.99–$99.99/mo. | 95+ | 2 | Unlimited |

Fubo offers twice as many or more channels than Hulu + Live TV, including niche and 50+ sports channels. So if you’re looking for sports, Fubo is it. Still, Hulu Live has 14 popular sports networks. (Scroll down a little to see the channel lineup comparison.)
Most of Hulu + Live TV’s channel lineup is quality. You’ll find a few music and niche channels, but Hulu Live has some popular channels that Fubo doesn’t (TBS, TNT, and CNN).
And both live TV streaming services are MVPs for families, thanks to their limitless DVR storage. Everyone in the house can record their favorite TV shows without worrying about space.
Hulu + Live TV vs. Fubo plans and pricing
Hulu + Live TV has one main TV plan with 95+ channels, but you get to choose between three streaming bundles. The Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN Select bundles can have ads, some ads, or none at all.
If you’re on a tight budget, you can always use ad breaks to do some house duties. If your kids (or you, let’s be real) stream Disney+ a lot, you can get zero ads for $5 more. Or if you can afford it, the $100 plan is worth it to axe interruptions for all three services.
Keep in mind that Hulu’s live channels still have regular TV commercials to get a jingle stuck in your head for the day.

Fubo has a lot of the same channels as Hulu + Live TV, but you might have to upgrade to the $100 plan for certain channels, like Nat Geo Wild, Game Show Network, and ESPNU.
But with that, Fubo’s Elite plan is worth it. For $5 less, you can get almost 200 more channels. Among them, we’re talking NBA TV, NHL Network, Tennis Channel, MLB Network, and all BET and MTV channels. A no-brainer, if we’ve ever seen one.
There are a handful of channels in the lineup you’ve probably never heard of, so be sure to scope out the full list to see if it’s worth it over Hulu Live.

Hulu + Live TV vs. Fubo live channels
Hulu + Live TV is made up of 85% quality channels. Its 95+-channel lineup is slim and trim with a little bit of fluff (or maybe it’s just us who could do without music channels).
Fubo’s entry-level plan (Pro) gives you over 200 channels, with over 30 dedicated to sports and the rest to family-friendly entertainment. The Elite plan comes with more than 300 channels, adding more news, sports, and niche channels.
Don’t forget, Fubo has a lot of filler content—in other words, channels we’ve never heard of.

Hulu + Live TV has a few add-ons, but we like that it carries NFL Sunday Ticket.
Fubo is the number one pick for NBA and MLB fans who want their NBA League Pass or MLB.TV integrated into their service. So, if you’re an Atlanta native and want to watch all out-of-market games for the Hawks and Braves, you might have found your next streaming platform.

Hulu + Live TV vs. Fubo specs and features
Hulu + Live TV and Fubo have followed YouTube TV‘s footsteps by including unlimited DVR storage that saves your recordings for nine months. The downside is that you can’t keep a recorded Christmas movie you wish to watch again next year.

Hulu + Live TV lets you and your spouse stream simultaneously. That means you don’t have to endure another season of Alone, and they don’t have to survive through another golf tournament.
Fubo throws open the streaming doors, letting you and nine other household members stream at once. But hold on to your excitement about sharing that golden password—Fubo stops that nonsense in its tracks. If someone beyond the walls of your house streams, you won’t be able to stream yourself.
