The Auburn Tigers haven’t had a winning season since 2020, and the new coach Hugh Freeze hasn’t done much to help that since getting hired in 2023.
As I’ve mentioned in previous watch guides, the SEC is a gauntlet that makes other college football leagues look like pee-wee. But no one is breaking out the tiny violins for the Tigers any time soon.
Heading into 2025, Freeze might be on the coaching hot seat. If he can’t get the Tigers to improve, he could be out of a job faster than you can say “hike.”

2025 Auburn Tigers football TV schedule
Auburn’s schedule is going to be tough. Things start with a matchup against a Baylor team that went 6–3 in a crowded Big 12 Conference last year. One stretch of the schedule I’ve got my eye on is Texas A&M on the road and Georgia and Missouri at home. Those games will reveal what the Tigers are made of in 2025.
