Watch Boise State vs. UNLV | FOX

UNLV heads north to Boise for a Mountain West Championship Game rematch with even bigger stakes: along with a conference title, the winner will grab a spot in this year’s playoff bracket. Neither team’s dropped a game since their Week 9 match, which was a 29–24 Broncos win.

Watch Big 12 Championship Game 2024

Watch Iowa State vs. Arizona State | ABC

The Sun Devils’ dream season continues, as Arizona State’s gone from the bottom of preseason polls to being a game away from the College Football Playoff. Iowa State lost some momentum after a pair of midseason upsets, but the experienced Cyclones snuck back atop the Big 12 late in the year, and they’ll be a tough matchup for the Sun Devils, running back Cam Skattebo, and quarterback Sam Leavitt.

(And Big 12 Parking Lot Knifefight energy coupled with the game’s 1.5-point spread means that anything can happen. Skattebo goes for 150 yards? Rocco Becht throws for 300 yards? Arizona State fans storm the field in the third quarter, and Colorado whips a folding chair at you from the top rope? Anything’s possible on Saturday!)

Watch SEC Championship Game 2024

Watch Georgia vs. Texas | ABC

Georgia and Texas face off in a rematch in Atlanta, and Longhorns fans are hoping it goes better than last time. Their regular-season matchup was a 30–15 Bulldogs win that saw them shut out Texas for three quarters, but both squads are in much different shape entering the postseason.

(And for some reason, Gameday will also get guest picker Timothée Chalamet?)

Watch Big Ten Championship Game 2024

Watch Penn State vs. Oregon | CBS

We didn’t expect this either! Oregon’s earned every part of its 12–0 record, while Penn State’s rebounded from its Ohio State loss with a mostly steady four-game win streak. Both squads are virtual locks to make the playoff, but the biggest things in play will be a Big Ten title and the chance for a first-round bye.

Watch ACC Championship Game 2024

Watch Clemson vs. SMU | ABC

The ACC hasn’t gotten much love from the playoff committee, and as a result, Saturday final championship weekend game could be for more than an ACC title. SMU’s at No. 8 in the committee’s latest rankings, while Clemson’s down at No. 17—the winner will snag a berth, but the loser could be left on the outside looking in depending on how the at-large field shakes out.

(If you’re rooting against another playoff appearance from Alabama, we’ll pitch the following rooting hypothetical: SMU and Clemson go to 12 overtime rounds in a dramatic finish that inspires the committee to apologize for its ACC snub and bring both teams into the bracket fold. A guide can wish, right?)
