Before bowl season and the playoffs kick off, teams still have to pass through one more hurdle: conference championship weekend. Some teams have playoff bids locked up, while others need an upset to climb up in the postseason rankings.
Whether you’re a Texas fan hoping to sneak back into the playoffs or a Tulane fan eyeing postseason bowl game tickets for the second year, here’s your guide to the best games on conference championship weekend.

Watch Oregon vs. Washington | ABC
The Huskies made it through the regular season with an undefeated record but won multiple games by the skin of their teeth. As a reward, they’ll face off against an 11–1 Oregon Ducks club that’s on a six-game win streak and more than capable of avenging their early-season loss to Washington. And if that wasn’t enough, the winner of this rematch will also get a playoff spot.

Watch Oklahoma State vs. Texas | ABC
Texas returns to the Big 12 Championship Game and faces off against a Cowboys team that’s experienced ample highs and lows over the regular season’s second half. Texas fans are right outside the playoff bracket, but they could potentially sneak in if they win against Oklahoma State and a few upset wins happen elsewhere this weekend.

Watch Georgia vs. Alabama | CBS
Every Georgia vs. Alabama matchup has ample postseason implications, and this year’s SEC Championship Game is no exception. Once again, the Bulldogs are entering the postseason with a lengthy win streak and national championship aspirations.
This year’s Alabama team is more inconsistent than past clubs, but they’ll still be Georgia’s toughest opponent this season by a considerable margin. The Crimson Tide were also responsible for Georgia’s most recent loss, which was in the 2021 SEC Championship Game, and they could sneak into the playoffs if they upset Georgia.

Watch Louisville vs. Florida State | ABC
Texas, Oregon, and Alabama fans should watch this game, which offers the biggest potential for playoff bracket chaos this weekend.
Florida State’s still reeling from quarterback Jordan Travis’ season-ending injury, and backup Tate Rodemaker was a non-factor in last week’s win over Florida. Louisville was upset by Kentucky, but if the 10–2 Cards get past Florida State, they’ll potentially create an opening for the last playoff bracket spot.

Watch Michigan vs. Iowa | FOX
Michigan returns to the Big Ten Championship Game for the third year in a row this weekend, and once again, they’ll be heavily favored against a Big Ten West opponent. Despite a litany of injuries and offensive struggles, the Hawkeyes still finished the regular season with a solid 10–2 record. As for Michigan, they’ll get back coach Jim Harbaugh from his three-game suspension, and they’ll be warming themselves up ahead of a likely playoff run.
