Welcome to the finish line (sort of). We’ve finally arrived at the last week of the 2025 NFL regular season. While many postseason tickets are already punched, the action is far from over. The playoff fates of the Buccaneers, Panthers, Ravens, and Steelers remain undecided, with the final playoff spots and crucial division titles hanging in the balance.
Everything comes down to this weekend. Can the Steelers hold the line at home against their biggest rival? Will the chaos in the NFC South finally resolve itself? Sure, several teams have already checked out for the winter, but the stakes are sky-high for those that remain locked in.

CableTV.com’s NFL Game of the Week
Coverage begins Sunday, January 4, at 8:20 p.m. ET: Week 18 kicks off Saturday with an ugly elimination bout between the Panthers and Buccaneers, but the NFL saved the best drama for last. The Baltimore Ravens (8–8) face the Pittsburgh Steelers (9–7) on Sunday Night Football in a classic AFC North grudge match. The winner claims the division title and a playoff berth, while the loser is eliminated. It’s a brutal “winner-take-all” finale to a chaotic 2025 regular season.
The Ravens have momentum on their side, finding their identity at the perfect time. Fresh off a dominant win over Green Bay, a vintage Derrick Henry performance proved this offense can still handle opponents on the ground. While Lamar Jackson’s health remains a major concern, the team has shown it can lean on the run game to grind out the clock. If Henry gets rolling early, Baltimore can dictate the tempo no matter who starts at quarterback.
Pittsburgh, meanwhile, is reeling after a humbling loss to the Browns. The Steelers enter this decider with their firepower severely depleted. Star receiver DK Metcalf is suspended, sidelining the weapon who accounted for nearly half their yards in Week 14. With tight end Darnell Washington also out, Pittsburgh lacks a viable passing threat. Unless the defense forces pivotal turnovers, the Steelers risk losing their playoff spot to their bitterest rivals on their own turf.
