Which tennis players are in the 2024 Summer Olympics?
A total of 64 men and 64 women (singles) will qualify for the Olympics, and 56 of each will be based on their ATP and WTA rankings by June 10, 2024.
Now that the French Open is over, we can expect to see Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, and Aryna Sabalenka will be competing for gold.
Taylor Fritz is the best American male tennis player, but at No. 12, we must cross our fingers that he can win a bronze medal for our country. Coco is our best chance at winning gold, but she has to get past Iga, and Jessica Pegula has a chance to win silver or bronze.
Thirty-two men’s and women’s doubles teams and 16 mixed doubles teams will be invited. And it’s only fair that the host nation, France, has reserved spots in all these divisions.

Three golds on the horizon

Alexander Zverev won the men’s gold medal in 2020, and he’s not looking like a bad pick this year again. But I’m really rooting for Djokovic to win this achievement in his career before he retires. (I’m not saying he announced it, but we know he won’t be playing for another four years.)
