C’est Très Bon! The Spiciest ‘Emily in Paris’ Episodes

There’s an expression in French that translates to mixing business with pleasure — joindre l’utile à l’agréable. It’s basically the entire philosophy behind “Emily in Paris.” The Netflix series centers around Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), a junior-level social media marketer who is sent by her boss to Paris to put an American spin on things at a successful French marketing firm. The premise is absurd: Cooper speaks no French and has no experience working on foreign ad campaigns. But it’s all good, because the show launched during the pandemic and we all needed something fun to watch something while scrolling on our phones.
Since that launch, “Emily in Paris” has delivered five seasons’ worth of wish-fulfillment fantasies and exotic eye candy. Although this Netflix series isn’t nearly as charming or smart as “Sex in the City” or the underrated French showbiz sitcom “Call My Agent!,” Emily and her cohorts at Agence Grateau keep you just engaged enough with nonstop love triangles, fashion shows, corporate skullduggery, and stereotypical French stuff.
Here are the spiciest episodes of “Emily in Paris.” More spicy moments are sure to come with the premiere of Season 6 (the series’ final season) on December 24, 2026.
“Emily in Paris” (Season 1, Episode 1)
Emily Cooper may have it together back home in Chicago, but in France she’s a bumbling fool — and her new coworkers at Paris marketing firm Savoir let her know it, nicknaming her “la plouc” (“the hick”) not even a week into her run there. Her boss Sylvie Grateau treats this clueless American with particular scorn, and it’s honestly a delight to watch Emily get run through the wringer. A video-sex sesh with her (soon-to-be-ex) boyfriend back in Chicago even results in a blackout of the Paris electrical grid.
“Sexy or Sexist” (Season 1, Episode 3)
Emily shows her inexperience and lack of professionalism when she argues with an important client about an ad campaign right before launch. Luxury perfume company De l’Heure is all set to send a model striding nude down the Pont Alexandre III under the watchful male gaze of a crew of men in suits, and she convinces Antoine Lambert to openly question the sexism in a splashy social-media campaign. It’s a big success, of course, and Antoine, saucy Frenchman that he is, rewards her with a gift of fancy lingerie.
“A Kiss Is Just a Kiss” (Season 1, Episode 4)
Emily’s hot neighbor Gabriel is the chef of a hip Parisian bistro, and he gets her out of a jam with a new client at the marketing agency by pulling off a delicious, last-minute din-din for the whole Savoir team with client in tow. Because there are apparently no sexual-harassment laws in France, Sylvie subtly encourages Emily to go hook-up with said hot neighbor, and right after they kiss she finds out that Gabriel has a girlfriend, Camille — who’s also Emily’s new friend. Oops!
“Cancel Couture” (Season 1, Episode 10)
After hooking up with Camille’s 17-year-old little brother in the episode “Family Affair” (another big oopsie), Emily goes back to pursuing Camille’s boyfriend. Gabriel is set to move to Normandy, and they get down and dirty before the trip. He’s just dumped Camille so Emily is theoretically in the clear, but things instantly get sticky because it turns out that Gabriel will stay in Paris after all to purchase the restaurant where he works.
“Bon Anniversaire!” (Season 2, Episode 3)
Camille takes Emily to a Moroccan hammam bathhouse, where we see topless women for the first time on the show. Emily, being a modest American unaccustomed to liberal European practices, wears a cotton robe instead of getting naked. Later in the episode, Emily’s betrayals of the sweet Camille come home to roost — although Camille and Gabriel are no longer an item, she figures out that Emily has been getting with her ex-beau and calls her out at a party in front of all their friends.
“Ex-en-Provence” (Season 3, Episode 6)
Things only get more bombastic for Emily in Seasons 2 and 3, as she’s forced to navigate the complexities of both career and romance. Emily sparks up a romance with Alfie, a British banker who she meets in French class. But she holds a candle for handsome chef Gabriel. At other points she ends up working simultaneously for two bosses: Madeline at her old Chicago agency and Sylvie at the new Agence Grateau.
In this picturesque episode, the gang heads to the South of France for some business and things get characteristically steamy. Among the highlights: Sylvie and her husband Laurent strip naked and get freaky in a pool after they get attacked by bees, while Emily and Gabriel get mistaken for a couple at a fancy restaurant, in a classic rom-com setup.
“Charade” (Season 3, Episode 10)
Is it safe to say that Camille and Gabriel were never meant to be? The two former lovebirds eventually patched things up in previous episodes, and in “Charade” they host an engagement party at Camille’s family chateau in Champagne. They decide to get married right there on the spot, but it’s not so simple since Camille is also nurturing a secret affair with Greek artist Sofia Sideris.
Never one to shy away from a public confession, Camille blows up the whole thing at the chapel in front of all the guests, interrupting Gabriel mid-vows to proclaim that he and Emily have been in love from the get-go. Alfie promptly dumps Emily, while Gabriel reveals to Emily that Camille is pregnant. Oof!
