It’s time to Scrub in again …
If you’ve been thinking, “I can’t do this all on my own … I’m no Superman,” ever since your beloved hospital comedy Scrubs went off the air in 2010, great news: J.D., Turk, Elliot, and Dr. Cox are back in TV rotation on February 25, 2026!
ABC has revived Scrubs for a belated tenth season, picking up in real time as 16 years have passed at Sacred Heart Hospital—they may be older, but they’re not necessarily wiser, hence, comedy. Here’s everything you need to know about where to watch Scrubs’ comeback, including where to stream a memory checkup on the long-gone series.

What is Scrubs about?
Scrubs, which aired from 2001 to 2010 on broadcast TV (seasons 1–7 on NBC; 8–9 on ABC), followed the just-out-of-medical-school antics of best friends J.D. (Zach Braff) and Turk (Donald Faison) at Sacred Heart Hospital. The series followed their journey from interns to practicing doctors, but they never abandoned their silly sides.
The series quickly evolved into an ensemble comedy with the inclusion of J.D.’s love interest Elliot (Sarah Chalke), the antagonistic Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley), and a cast of variably eccentric characters. Scrubs was unmistakably a comedy, but it also didn’t shy away from heavier emotional tones. Much like M*A*S*H long before it, Scrubs dealt with the harsh realities of medicine when needed.
I want to watch the original Scrubs
Unlike many other TV shows from the ‘00s, all nine seasons and 182 episodes of Scrubs have been available to stream on Hulu for years. Scrubs was, and still is, a 20th Television production under the Disney ownership umbrella, so even when Hulu is eventually absorbed into the Disney+ streaming ecosystem, you’ll still be able to find the original run of the series.
I want to watch the Scrubs revival
The new Scrubs will air Wednesday nights on ABC beginning February 25, premiering with two episodes before settling into its weekly slot preceding new episodes of Abbott Elementary. (Shifting Gears fans take note: Tim Allen’s cranky dad comedy will air its second season finale on February 4, opening the spot for Scrubs through May.)
As with most ABC series, the newest episodes of Scrubs will be available to stream the following day on Hulu and Disney+.
I want to watch Scrubs: Interns
If you actually remember the 2009 online-only Scrubs companion series Scrubs: Interns, you’re obviously a Sacred Heart superfan. You’re also out of luck if you’re looking for an official platform to stream the 3–5 minute episodes on, because they’re officially long gone.
But it only takes a quick YouTube search to find the 12-episode shorts series in its entirety in unofficial bootleg form. But you didn’t hear it from us.
I want to watch the Scrubs crossovers
Super-duper fans looking for the instances where Scrubs characters appeared on other shows and movies can find their extracurricular screen activities here:
- It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas (2002): The Scrubs crew (and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence) show up to reanimate Miss Piggy in the movie available on Amazon Prime Video.
- Clone High (2002): Janitor (Neil Flynn) appears in animated form as a part-time Clone High school janitor in the Season 1 episode “Litter Kills: Literally.” Clone High is available to stream on HBO Max and Roku Channel.
- Cougar Town (2009): J.D., Elliot, and Ted (Sam Lloyd) appeared in Cougar Town’s second and third seasons, which are available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
I want to listen to the Scrubs podcast
Fake Doctors, Real Friends, a Scrubs-rewatch podcast hosted by Braff and Faison, launched in 2020 and ended in 2025. All episodes are still available to listen to on Spotify and, as they say, wherever you get your podcasts.
I want to watch Zach and Donald’s T-Mobile commercials
Wow, you’re really dedicated. Just turn on a TV and you’ll see Braff and Faison pitching T-Mobile 5G internet within minutes, guaranteed.
