Marlins fans get a new TV channel for 2026

Fans who watch Miami Marlins baseball want an exciting experience. Typically, that means winning.

But the team has been winning less in the last couple of years. Part of that is because the Marlins play in the ultra-competitive National League East, where teams are expected to contend for a deep postseason run. The Marlins, though, have some upside and could be a compelling watch in 2026.

With MLB taking over the team’s broadcast production and distribution, watching Miami is easier than ever thanks to the brand-new Marlins.TV platform. In this guide, I’ll explain what that means for streaming and traditional TV viewers.

Where to watch the Marlins—local TV breakdown

The Marlins are among the latest crop of MLB teams to partner directly with the league for their game broadcasts. That means in-market fans only need a standalone Marlins.TV subscription to stream games throughout Florida and parts of Alabama.

If you prefer a traditional linear setup, a dedicated in-market Marlins channel is still available through select cable and satellite TV providers. Additionally, 10 regular-season games will be simulcast free over the air on CBS Miami and WBFS CW 33 this season.

Living outside of the Marlins’ broadcast territory? You can still catch most regular-season games on MLB.TV (streaming) or MLB EXTRA INNINGS (cable or satellite).

Channel Starting price Coverage Available on
Marlins.TV $19.99/mo. Most in-market games DIRECTV, Xfinity, Spectrum, AT&T U-verse, Cox, Fubo, MLB.com, MLB app
MLB.TV $29.99/mo. Most out-of-market games MLB and ESPN apps
MLB EXTRA INNINGS $149.99/season Most out-of-market games Cable and satellite services

Where to watch the Marlins—national TV breakdown

Marlins fans will have a limited number of national TV broadcasts to watch in 2026. But when Miami does play in those games, you can find them mainly on FS1 and Peacock Premium. It’s also possible a game here or there will end up on Apple TV.

Best TV plans for watching the Miami Marlins

The MLB media landscape is wide-ranging, and no one service will get you every single game of every team. Luckily, there are a few essentials that will easily cover the Marlins.

For my money, a comprehensive package like DIRECTV is the best way to watch the Miami Marlins all season long. Pair that with Peacock Premium—which reclaimed the exclusive MLB Sunday Leadoff package this year—and you are looking at access to nearly all 162 games. The only caveat is the possibility of Apple TV sneaking in with an exclusive Friday night game later in the season.

Best Overall

DIRECTV offers a robust channel lineup that includes the dedicated linear Marlins network (ch. 655), as well as every national channel that shows MLB games—except the streamers, of course.

Exclusive Games

The platform features its Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders for the entire league. It’s possible some Marlins games stream there throughout the season.

Exclusive Games

Several Marlins games will stream exclusively on the platform in 2026. There are also plenty of other MLB games airing on NBC that will stream on Peacock.

Out-of-Market Coverage

If you live outside of Florida or parts of neighboring Alabama, use MLB.TV to stream out-of-market Marlins games live, or catch all of them on demand.
