One show ends, another begins

Glitch Productions have seen tremendous success lately in the lead-up to “The Amazing Digital Circus” series finale, which is coming to theaters worldwide this summer. But this indie animation company isn’t resting on its laurels. In addition to the work its animators are doing on the upcoming season of “Knights of Guinevere,” Glitch is also releasing a brand new pilot for a new IP.

The pilot is called “Gameoverse,” and it’s the brainchild of YouTuber and former Game Grump Ross O’Donovan, a.k.a. RubberRoss. The show would follow characters from different video games coming together to prevent the destruction of their worlds. Sort of like a deadlier “Wreck-It Ralph.”

The show’s pilot is coming to Glitch’s YouTube channel this May, and after that it’s up to the fans whether it gets greenlit for a full series. Glitch debuted the “Knights of Guinevere” pilot back in September, and after a few months of merch sales, greenlit the show for a full season in February.

So if “Gameoverse” does well, it’s likely that Glitch will greenlight it, too. It certainly follows the formula set by “The Amazing Digital Circus” and “Knights of Guinevere”: take something friendly and childlike, and reveal the violence and horror at its center.

How to watch the ‘Gameoverse’ pilot

‘Gameoverse’ will premiere on the GLITCH YouTube channel on May 15, 2026. Like all of Glitch’s shows, the pilot will be free to watch.

Glitch announced this release date on its X account, rather than its YouTube channel. The official trailer only confirmed that the pilot would release sometime in May 2026.
