‘The Lost Boys’ and ‘Schmigadoon!’ lead the pack

This morning, Uzo Aduba (“Orange is the New Black”) and Darren Criss (StarKid, “Maybe Happy Ending”) announced the nominees for the 2025–2026 Tony Awards. There were fewer shows eligible this year than in the past, so per the Tony rules, both the Best Play and Best Musical category were limited to four nominees each.

There’s also no clear frontrunner: both “The Lost Boys” and “Schmigadoon!” tied for the most nominations at 12 apiece. “Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman” received the most nominations of any play at nine.

You can watch the announcement below, or scroll down for a list of the highlights. Then tune back in on June 7, 2026 to watch the Tony Awards live on CBS and Paramount+ Premium.
