The 78th Annual Tony Awards are airing live on Sunday, June 8. You can catch the show on CBS with a cable provider or over-the-air antenna, or stream the show with a Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscription.

Watch the Tony Awards on CBS
This year’s Tony Awards are airing on CBS on June 8, at 8 p.m. ET. You might already have CBS if you subscribe to a cable TV plan or a live TV streaming service—since it’s a local channel, it comes with even the most basic cable packages.
But if you’re totally off the grid, there are still other ways you can watch CBS for cheap. Rather than subscribing to an expensive basic cable package, we always recommend buying an over-the-air (OTA) antenna. You’ll be able to get all of your local channels for a small one-time payment instead of a pricey subscription.
What channel is CBS on?
CBS’s channel number varies by city. But unlike most cable channels, it doesn’t vary by cable provider. That means it’s likely to stay the same whether you’re using DIRECTV or Spectrum.

Watch the Tony Awards without cable
Not into cable or antennae? More of a streaming person? I’ve got you covered.
Like the Golden Globes and the Grammys before it, the 2025 Tony Awards will also be streaming on Paramount+.
The catch is that the livestream is only available to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers. That’s Paramount+’s premium, ad-free plan, which bundles in all of SHOWTIME’s content by default. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will have to wait and watch the show on demand the next day.

While the Sunday livestream is exclusive to subscribers at the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME tier, all Paramount+ subscribers will be able to stream the event the next day on demand.

Stream The Tony Awards: Act One
Act One is this year’s Tony Awards pre-show, hosted by Darren Criss (Maybe Happy Ending) and Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton).
Unlike the Tony Awards itself, Act One will stream live on Pluto TV, a free ad-supported service. You can catch it from 6:40–8:00 p.m. ET on Pluto TV’s “Live Music” channel, but you’ll have to switch over to CBS or Paramount+ with SHOWTIME at 8:00 p.m. ET to watch the full awards show.
