New ‘Dimension 20’ Main Cast Season Revealed: Toylight
The Intrepid Heroes return as wooden toys, dollies, and stuffies
Comedy streaming service Dropout released the trailer for its new “Dimension 20” season, titled “Toylight,” this afternoon. “Dimension 20” is an anthology TTRPG actual play show featuring a new campaign setting every season, often rotating between different casts and game systems.
The “Dimension 20” YouTube channel teased the release back in July with a cryptic video titled “Playtime Is Over.” The teaser juxtaposed vintage wartime footage with unsettling black-and-white toys, and we finally know why.
The new season, premiering September 16 on Dropout, is about a band of toys trying to keep a dying child from losing their spark of imagination. That spark is called the Toylight, and the Intrepid Heroes must protect it from a harsh world of brightly colored warfare.

How to watch “Dimension 20: Toylight”
The first episode of “Dimension 20: Toylight” will premiere on Dropout on September 16. New episodes — of which there are six in total— will air weekly on Wednesday nights. 7:00 p.m. ET, to be precise.
You’ll need a Dropout subscription if you want to watch the full season, but Dropout does eventually end up putting season premieres up on the Dimension 20 YouTube channel for free. However, you’ll have to wait until September 23 for the upload.

“Dimension 20: Toylight” cast
“Dimension 20: Toylight” is an Intrepid Heroes season, which means it uses the main cast that viewers will recognize from seasons like “Fantasy High” and “A Crown of Candy.”
As always with Intrepid Heroes seasons, Brennan Lee Mulligan will DM. He will be using the 2024 version of D&D.
According to the new trailer, the cast is:
- Brian Murphy as Ol’ Clyde Horsey
- Emily Axford as Tiddleywinks/Cutie Pie
- Lou Wilson as Wyon
- Zac Oyama as Avery Augustusus Archibald Tinsley
- Siobhan Thompson as Constance
- Ally Beardsley as Calypso
It’s unusual for the show to air two Intrepid Heroes seasons back-to-back, but Dropout is breaking the mold this year with slightly shorter seasons. “Dimension 20: City Council of Darkness,” the show’s Vampire: The Masquerade season featuring the Intrepid Heroes, just ended in July after 14 episodes.
“Toylight” will only be six episodes long, bringing this year’s Intrepid Heroes episode count to 20. Intrepid Heroes seasons are usually about 20 episodes long.
