The Syracuse Orange surprised a lot of college football in 2024 under new coach Fran Brown. They finished No. 20 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, marking the first time they finished a season ranked since 2018.
But things could be drastically different in 2025. Syracuse returns only two starters on offense, and the defense is made up of unproven players. To replicate the success of last season, the Orange will have to play with enough passion and fire to potentially change their mascot to Red.

2025 Syracuse Orange football TV schedule
Despite the Orange feasting their way to 10 wins in 2024 behind an otherworldly ability to win close games, not many people are picking them to make a run at the ACC title this year. In fact, media picked them to finish 12th—12TH!—in the conference in 2025.
That’s because Syracuse has what’s considered a much tougher schedule in 2025. Four of their opponents are projected to be in the top four of the ACC.
