The 2025 Formula One World Championship is now underway, and you can watch every Grand Prix this season on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2.
Hulu + Live TV is our favorite service for watching Formula One racing because it has every F1 channel and ESPN+ for added coverage. You’ll also get several other popular networks that carry live sports and auto racing.
Of course, there’s much to consider when choosing a TV service—especially since Formula One offers its F1 TV service at a low monthly cost. But keep reading as we highlight our recommended viewing options and how you can watch F1 for free.

Best TV providers for watching Formula One
- Editor’s Choice: Hulu + Live TV ($81.99–$95.99/mo.)
- Most Customizable: Sling TV ($45.99–$60.99/mo.)
- Best F1 Streaming App: F1 TV ($3.49–$16.99/mo.)
Editor’s Choice: Hulu + Live TV
Data effective as of post date. Compatible device and internet connection required. Offers and availability may vary by location and are subject to change.
Pros
- Every F1 race
- Unlimited cloud DVR
- ESPN+ and Disney+ included
Cons
- Small sports channel lineup
- Only two simultaneous streams allowed
Hulu + Live TV offers the best TV plan for watching Formula One races. Starting at $82.99 per month, it’s the only service that gets you the main ESPN channels alongside ESPN+ at no extra cost. You’ll have access to every F1 event in 2025, including practice and qualifying sessions.
If your love of auto racing extends beyond F1 to IndyCar, MotoGP, or NASCAR, you’re in luck with Hulu + Live TV. The streaming service carries all the channels needed to watch those competitions. Plus, you’ll get unlimited cloud DVR storage to record those lengthy events. (Other services like Fubo and YouTube TV offer the same DVR benefits, but you won’t find ESPN+ content on either platform.)
Hulu + Live TV also has the MOTOR TREND channel, which features popular automotive series and live races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With only 13 sports channels, Hulu + Live TV still finds a way to satisfy us motorsport fanatics.
Most Customizable: Sling TV
Data effective as of post date. Compatible device and internet connection required. Offers and availability may vary by location and are subject to change.
Pros
- Low-cost plans with ESPN channels
- Customizable packages
- Valuable sign-up deals
Cons
- Poor local channel coverage
- Weak DVR storage options
Sling TV is another live TV streaming service we recommend for watching Formula One races. At $45.99/mo., its Sling Orange plan includes ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3—making it the cheapest way to get the main ESPN networks. Sure, Hulu + Live TV comes with a larger channel count, but saving around $37 each month with Sling TV is more attractive for those on a budget.
Paying less comes with disadvantages, as Sling Orange doesn’t have local channels like ABC and CBS. (ABC is available in select markets with Sling Blue.) Fortunately, any Grand Prix that airs on ABC will stream on ESPN3. Plus, you can also supplement your Sling TV plan with a digital antenna for better local channel coverage. And it just so happens that you may be able to get a free antenna with one of Sling TV’s sign-up deals.
Another downside to Sling TV is that it only includes 50 hours of DVR storage. But you can usually catch race replays by signing into the ESPN app using your Sling TV login, or upgrade to Sling’s Unlimited DVR add-on for $5.99/mo.
Best F1 Streaming App: F1 TV
Data effective as of post date. Compatible device and internet connection required. Offers and availability may vary by location and are subject to change.
Pros
- Every live F1, F2, F3, and Porsche Supercup race
- Inexpensive pricing
- Large on-demand library
Cons
- Limited device compatibility
- Clunky interface
If you’re not looking for a complete TV plan, you can go straight to the source for Formula One races with F1 TV. The streaming service carries every live Formula One event and has over 650 archived races for nostalgic viewing.
While F1 TV offers multiple plans, you’ll want F1 TV Pro or above to get all the live content. The Pro tier costs $10.99 per month, which is a steal compared to finding a TV provider with ESPN channels. Plus, you’ll have access to more features than what’s available through a standard TV plan.
We love F1 TV for its onboard camera views, live tracking data, and team radio feeds. You can also upgrade to F1 TV Premium for a custom multiview experience and 4K video quality that kicks things up a notch.
Unfortunately, the F1 TV app is less widely available than we would like, and some features are limited to specific platforms. But you can find the app on popular streaming devices like Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku. The app is also available on Android and iOS mobile devices.

As in recent seasons, ABC will air a handful of Formula One races in 2025. You can watch these events for free using an over-the-air (OTA) antenna. But you must first determine if ABC is accessible in your area, which you can do by entering your zip code on the FCC’s Reception Map Tool.
Once you know the tower distance of your local ABC station, head to our Best OTA Antennas page to browse a wide selection of recommended antennas. We like the Mohu Leaf 50 for its 60-mile range and multi-directional design.
If an antenna doesn’t cut it for you, you can try a free streaming trial from services like Fubo and YouTube TV. Both platforms carry F1 channels, so you can catch a Grand Prix or two by expertly mapping out your trial periods.
How many Formula One teams are there?
There are 10 teams competing in the 2025 Formula One World Championship. Two race drivers participate on behalf of each team, meaning 20 drivers start each race.

How to watch Formula One FAQ
Can you watch Formula One on Amazon Prime Video?
Live Formula One races don’t stream on Amazon Prime Video, but you can watch the free Formula 1 Channel on Amazon Freevee. At one point, F1 TV was in talks to become a Prime Video add-on channel in the U.S. We’re unsure if that plan is still in the works.
Is Formula One included with ESPN+?
Yes, ESPN+ carries most Formula One races and additional racing coverage. ESPN’s current broadcasting agreement with Formula One involves ESPN+ a lot more than it once did, but it’s likely ESPN won’t renew its F1 contract after 2025.
Where can you watch kart racing?
You can watch live FIA Karting Championship races on the competition’s official YouTube page. The channel hosts the FIA Karting European and World Championship series, featuring OK, Junior, and KZ class races.
