Florida is home to nine professional sports teams across the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL. One of those teams is the Tampa Bay Rays. Originally known as the “Devil Rays,” they have called the Sunshine State home since joining Major League Baseball in 1998.
Now in their 28th year, the Rays have made the playoffs nine times. And with MLB having the longest season in all of professional sports, the Rays will have plenty of opportunities to earn a playoff spot again in 2025. Keep reading to learn how you can watch the Rays on TV all season long.

What channels have Tampa Bay Rays games?
FanDuel Sports Network Sun (FDSSUN) is the home of all Tampa Bay Rays regional broadcasts during the 2025 MLB season, with 15 games being simulcast on Tampa Bay 44 (WTOG). Select Rays games will also air on FS1, MLB Network, and TBS.
Fans who don’t have access to FDSSUN will need MLB.TV or MLB EXTRA INNINGS to watch the Rays when they aren’t playing on national TV.
Best TV plans for watching the Tampa Bay Rays
If you want to watch every Tampa Bay Rays game on TV this season, I recommend using Fubo. I personally love Fubo because you don’t have to upgrade from its base plan or buy any add-ons to access FDSSUN. In a world of add-ons, this is very refreshing—and saves you money.
When it comes to more traditional TV providers, I like what DIRECTV has to offer. Its CHOICE package includes all five channels the Rays are scheduled to play on in 2025, but it does cost about $5 more per month than Fubo’s base plan. Depending on your entertainment needs outside of watching the Rays, DIRECTV might be worth the small price difference.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to pay a regional sports fee to access FDSSUN on Fubo, DIRECTV, and other TV providers that offer the channel. This fee is usually pretty similar across providers, but be sure to check how much it is where you live before making a decision.
Standalone in-market TV package for Rays games

The Rays are one of 26 MLB teams that offer local fans a direct-to-consumer streaming option. This means you can watch every Rays game that isn’t nationally televised, without having a TV provider. All you have to do is subscribe to FanDuel Sports Network (FDSN), and then you’ll be all set to watch games online or in the FDSN app.
With the Rays playing very few games on national channels in 2025, this option provides the best value for your money.
2025 Tampa Bay Rays TV schedule
This season will look a lot different on TV for Tampa Bay fans. With Tropicana Field undergoing repairs after being damaged by Hurricane Milton last fall, the Rays will play their home games at George M. Steinbrenner Field—the Spring Training home of the New York Yankees.
The change in venue means the Rays will be playing their home games outdoors for the first time in franchise history. To help dodge the worst of Florida’s summer heat, MLB scheduled 19 of the team’s first 22 games at home. That was a nice move by the league, but a lot of games will still be under the sizzling sun—so I hope the team stocks up on sunscreen.
